Cool use of the  prerequisite, it's   like a choose your own adventure book but every time you go back and try to find a good ending you just find a more cursed ending instead.

Nice game I like the boss fight and the hand drawn art.

Thanks for making this good work for free. I used this for a game jam.

I was not expecting this to be such a cool concept for a puzzle platformer, it really surprised me. Hope you get to add that holdable torch section in because  that could really take it to the next level.

It took me a few tries to understand how the walls and rooms where separated(sorry didn't read before playing) but once I figured that out it the experience was perfect.

The art is also amazing.

Fun little game. I love the art style and the retro vibes, if you want to hone in on the retro vibes more I would actually make the camera less fluid, other than that it really feels like an old school game

i would love to make a game based off the foodfight movie

game should be called arsonist simulator💖🔥

<3 Thanks and  yeah I agree. I  wanted  to get a traveling merchant implemented in between the waves but I sadly didn't have the time to fully implement it. Had some cool upgrade ideas that would spin the base mechanics on their heads, maybe  after the jam is done if there's still some interest I'll get around to it.

Thank you for playing!! Setting up chain reactions with the flames is my favorite part and yes coins currently have no use other than being a scoring measure.

Took me some time to figure out(my fault for not reading) but I had fun with it , I found the art and sfx to also be very charming.

Lowkey an economy simulator. Love the depressing vibes.

The art style is amazing.

Really fun to explore, wish there where more checkpoints because I kept dying trying to make friends.

Fun story and I really like how weighty the ship feels to maneuver.

My hands hurt from all the clicking but I love this game, the concept and the gameplay mechanics. It's just fun, it almost feels like a bullet hell game but where your mouse is  the thing that is dodging.

Thanks for playing!  And yeah I hate that too, it was   my first time  exporting in html5 with gamemaker, if I knew it would be so small on the browser I would have done  something about it. The download version allows for window resizing and is pixel perfect with out any artifacting  or anti-aliasing shenanigans.

EDIT - I fixed it kind of , I used views in game maker and set them to 1280x720 however it came at the cost of making the hud smaller than indented and while it is a simple fix to scale up the hud I am afraid I am out of time and  it also isn't very necessary to the gameplay.

No problem, I was working down to the wire too so I understand lol.  And fr I really like the atmosphere, it's nice and cozy I still have the game open right now in the background, it makes for great wall paper.

Seem like ads tbh.

Great presentation, I like the graphics and the lighting, I feel like some quality of life improvements such as a hud element for how many flags you have collected/need would be great.

It's a great concept, if you plan to keep working on it I  think you should  implement more user feedback, or a  drag and drop coding system to help those of us like me   who are lost.

I really like the art style, the jump scare really felt like  it    was 3d.

that would be a vevry convenient addition

Does it use delta time?

This must be what it feels like to play games for the first time.

Fun game, really polished, with a good amount of content.

I really like how unsettling this game makes me feel
