How does the game fit the theme?
You must take a risk by diving deeper into the mines to collect chocolate chips for the wizard's cookies/biscuits. The deeper you go the more choc chips you can collect, but the longer it will take you to get back to the surface. If you take too long you will run out of time and the wizard will turn you into a frog!

3 sound effects are modified from online royalty free assets.

This one really hooked me. The core loop of diving down for chocolate chips and racing back up to feed the wizard is simple but super addictive, and the smooth movement makes it feel great the whole way through. The art and sound give it a cozy yet tense vibe. Definitely got that “should I go deeper or play it safe?” Minecraft/Terraria suspense that others mentioned.

If I had one piece of feedback, it’s that sometimes the timer feels a little unforgiving when the chips spawn deeper, which made a few runs feel more about luck than planning. I’d also love to see little quality-of-life things in the future, like an arrow pointing to the furnace or maybe upgrades that improve mining/cooking speed so the late game doesn’t slow down.

Overall though, super polished for a jam game, and one of the most fun mining entries I’ve played. Great job!

Thats great feedback thanks, I'll definitely have a look at tweaking the timer a bit. Unfortunately I ran out of time to balance everything fully. Also an arrow and upgrades are on my list as well

The overall presentation is super charming, and the character movement feels great. I really enjoyed the innovative mechanics. It's such a unique blend of platformer and farming sim! Had a lot of fun with this one.

It definitely has that minecraft feeling of "should I mine more, or is it time to go back up". Felt the suspense, thinking "will I find the path back and get back in time?". Luckily, I beat it on the first try with over 100 more chips than were needed.  Also, great visuals and audio, perfectly matching the game.

Great game, aesthetic is pleasing to look at, movement and digging felt natural and smooth. Love that I discover I can dig up too (while tethered to the wall). Part of the fun was also bore a path for easy access later so that you can go back up quicker. Awesome entry, great job!

Very well executed. Art is on point. It's quite difficult to get far but that's not a terrible thing. I suppose that it's annoying that it's hard to get into ledges that are only one block high. That's about it for comments though. Great work.

pretty fun game, probly on oof my fav mining one from the jam :D

the art is prettym the game loop is fun, the movment is smooth 10/10

i do wish you can jump and mine, there was scenario where choc chips were on top of me but i coundn mine it, also would be cool if there was a way to recall back to the furnacne but ican see why it wasnt added. good game

That's great feedback thanks, I'll definitely look into adding the ability to jump and mine. You can currently recall to the surface by holding "R" on the keyboard, but it's intended for if you get stuck so you lose some choc chips when you do it

The controls in this game feel amazing—smooth and responsive. As a big fan of mining games, I absolutely love this one, and I think it has a lot of potential. My only gripe is that the timer feels a little too tight. Even when I rush to gather resources as fast as I can, I often end up running out of time. And when I dig too deep, it’s pretty hard to make it back to the surface in time. Other than that, though, the game is nearly perfect!

This was a really polished game! It was a little tricky to keep track of base and find your way back up quickly if you fell too far but it was very satisfying to go mine cookies. The art style was very cute and the music and sounds added a lot to it. Impressive game for a single developer in a game jam! Very polished feeling!

I also really liked the little story at the beginning/end! It was cute and was a good way to convey the goal of the game!

The game is really fun and the movement is super dynamic!

The art is so cute and works really well with the game!

My feedback would be to add a sign showing where your base is, an arrow or something like that.

Nice job! I love the pixel art and the mining, reminds me bit of dome keeper.
I just want to mine deeper but the wizard keeps nagging lol
At first I could not get back up after I dropped down which was a bit frustrating, but now I figured it out.
I almost finished it but then I lost track of the time again, aghh this insaturable wizard!!

Apologies I didn't include it in the in game instructions but if you get stuck you can hold "R" on the keyboard to teleport to the surface (although you do lose some choc chips)

Pretty cute game with a cool gameplay loop. Ideas are neat too, remind me of dome keeper in a sense. It was also not obvious you can wall jump at first so my first rodeo was kinda lost, did figure it out in the end. A little of upgrade after each cycle would neat as well, but jam is probably too short to implement that
