The art is pretty decent and I liked the visuals of the tiles. Gameplay-wise, it is simple but just needs more polishing on the controls, in my opinion . Maybe on the speed and also the jumping, it kind of feels off to me. But other than that, pretty cool for game made in just a week and also solo! So good work on that!

Nice submission, just a bit more work on the movement and controls would make them feel snappier would be nice.

Nice and simple. The camera and character movements could be improved a bit more to be smoother, but other than that good job!

Also, it's great to see a fellow Godot developer :D

Fun game! I think you did a great job with this game! One recommendation I have is to use position smoothing for the camera. You're using Godot, so just click on the camera node, look for position smoothing, turn it on, and experiment with the numbers. Start with 7 and go between 3 and 15 (or higher/lower if you feel like it). It will make the camera movement follow the player smoothly, decreasing the vertigo feeling when you run around. Besides that you did a great job with the game. Great work!

Developer

Thx,ill definetly add it

I love myself a platformer where you collect things. I loved the music and sound effects when you collect the cookies and when you put them in the oven. It might a bit of polishing but other than that it was a fun game. Awesome job!

Very cool game. Love the collection sfx. Some thoughts: maybe don't restart the music on player death, just start it when you enter the level and loop, may feel a bit nicer. Also there is not really a fullscreen option, screen just shows more of the game, minor thing, but you definatelly need to fugure out a way to show the same amount of game in both fullscreen and window, it can be a trouble in other projects. Overall - great job, for a one man project this is very impressive!

The control is smooth and the level maps are quite fun. The "collect - bake" loop is very intuitive and suits the jam theme really well. Great work!

Good job! I'd say reduce the character friction as it's a little tricky to control

thx for feedback :)

Neat game! I liked the combo system, it felt very satisfying to bank in a bunch of flour and cash out a ton of cookies!

the game is really fun,  and there isn't really anything bad about it really, I Thought you had to get all the cookies before reading the "how does the game fit the theme" so I think making it more clear that you don't need to get them all is the only change needed I Think, other than that, great game.

though most would see the hitstop being the only thing that signals death as a downgrade, I kinda like it.

Great Game, I think a timer would make the game better!

Good game

Pixel-perfect platformers are kind of a big no-go for me, as I'm utterly bad at them more than normal platformers. Havng said that, nice excution and aligned with the theme, though the color palette was a bit, making my eyes crossing and the music was way too loud.

short and simple, good work!

I liked the concept but the controls have not enough friction in my opinion it feels like sliding on ice

Collisions were a little rough, and I found the movement speed to be a tad too high. Other than that it was a well polished little platformer.

Short but quite fun game. Reminds me of old super Mario game.

My main issue comes from the collisions, they are bigger than the objects that kills us. Perhaps it will be to make these sprites bigger, than increasing the collision over the pixels.

Once I understand this, the game becomes easy, maybe too easy.

And :D its too short.

At the end of the game , the game shows me polish flag , so Polska Gurom :D

Cool game! It's also difficult. The only funny thing is 1.

That's because when a player steps into fire, they teleport back. And if they keep doing that forever, it'll be hilarious!

Yes! Cool game, but it requires a little thinking.

The theme is really well integrated into the gameplay, I genuinely liked the idea a lot. Visually, the drawings don’t really feel off it`s not perfect but it`s okay, but the visual and audio feedbacks felt quite lacking — with some additions in this area, it could become something much stronger.

Also, I think the map design could have been broader or layered in a more interconnected way, since the gameplay definitely supports that. Of course, I understand it’s hard to achieve this in such a limited time, so consider it just a suggestion for the future.

Developer

thx for the feeback :d
