How does the game fit the theme?
To survive the game's progressively harder levels, players must upgrade their cards. The only way to significantly improve a card is by gambling it on a roulette spin. If you don't take the risk, you won't get strong enough, and failure becomes inevitable.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

Neat game!  I really liked the spinning wheel to see if I'd get the upgrade.  I don't think I got very far but still had fun and thought it was a cool concept overall.

Thank u so much!! <3

Really great game concept, I had a lot of fun playing it. The graphics and animations are also nice. I hope there can be more upgrade content

Developer

I would love to add it when the jam is over. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to include other things I had planned. I had planned a few more things and to balance the difficulty a little... Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

nice game, I liked the the concept, and it was executed nicely too. that main thing is that the dummies health scales slowly. at some point (round 120-ish) I had a 102.5 critical hit chance and some other upgrades that made rounds last less than a second. Apart from that it was nice making decisions and taking risks.

nice game👍

Thank you very much!! I would have liked to finish the base of the game earlier and spend some time testing it, but I could barely spend the weekend working on the game. I'll take note of the feedback and maybe update it a bit when the jam is over ^W^ <3

cool concept, i love the roguelike-y upgrades, and the option to gamble for better one is clever hahaha. Great game!

It was a bit annoying that there was no restart button, but I really liked how I had to risk all my upgrades on one wheel to double it :D

Good game. It sad that you dont have any button to restart the game, when you are dead.

Great concept! It was really fun to play, felt like a horde survivor game but more focused on the build strategy

Really cool game. And concept. Kinda unique too, reminds me of those beat the doll games.

Very unique idea! Really liked playing this. But if you take a bit of risk early on, you can afford to just keep going like that for a few rounds and then end up defeating everything with one hit until round 200 or smth. Still a really cool game that maybe just needs a bit of balancing changes to be perfect.

Doubling down on your upgrades is a really interesting interpretation of the theme

The art is simple and clean, nice

I liked it, very original

nice little game, pretty fun.

really interesting concept of having to upgrade your stats with luck based percentages

i'll probably play it the rest of the day to build strategies lmao

Needs an endgame. If not an endgame, an actual practice dummy that measures DPS. Loved the take on the usual pick 1 of 3 card mechanic, but with extra layers of risk. You might need to look at number for crits, because it out scales every special red weapon. Once you're upgrading crit mult +72 every turn for a few turns, the HP scaling of the dummy can't catch up for a looong time.

That said, loved the game, as you can tell from the screen shots. Did two runs where I think I effectively "beat the game"?

I had it planned and would have loved to implement it, but I lost sight of the scope of development a little and ended up having to sacrifice things in order to deliver on time. I really appreciate the feedback, there are lots of things I want to add to polish it up after the jam ^w^

The game's idea is interesting. I'd never played an auto-battler, to be honest. I found it fun. Your game is very stable and has a pleasant UI. Congratulations. My only suggestion is a button or key we can press to restart the game when a stage ends. Mine keeps displaying the "Thanks for playing" popup, but to start playing again, I end up having to refresh the page.

Yes, it was planned, but I was running out of time and ended up rushing on the last day. Unfortunately, I didn't have much time and could only devote the weekend to it :(

But I really appreciate your comment and feedback, I'll keep it in mind if I update it after the jam! <3

Gambling, just what I like to see. Nice job.

Interesting concept and aptly visualized, but some of the upgrades seem weak/bugged? Upgrading my damage from 1 to 3 does not in fact make me do 3 damage, maybe I'm missing something.

Developer(+1)

yeah... at the last moment the web export was bugged with some resources... i did a last minute fix but there's some bugs, maybe I can upload a fix in these 48h but IDK if I will have time for it :C but thanks for playing and the feedback!

Really fun early on, but would've been nice if there were some sort of extra twist to make later rounds feel more distinct. But I honestly got quite addicted - really cool game!

Developer(+1)

That was planned, but I ran out of time :( I want to add more upgradeCards and a better difficulty curve... but thanks for playing! <3

Don't stress - you've done incredible for such a short amount of time
