I thought the game play was fun. I really liked having to be the healer and keep my party members alive. It reminded me of my old MMO days! Great job!

Developer

Thank you!

Taking the role of the under appreciated healer was a clever idea for the theme! The gameplay was smooth and was fairly intuitive as well. I enjoyed the sfx as too. I also liked how you strictly focused on healing methods instead going the "strength/attack" buff routes that I have seen games like this do before. Provided a focused experience! Overall nice work!

Developer

Thank you so much! I guess if we wanted to further expand on this game, we might add buffs too, but I think the main focus should always stay the healing, and keeping your team mates alive - to evoke that MMO healer's stressed feeling XD

Great job on the theme! I was a little confused how to play at first, but once I figured it out I had a lot of fun! The art is really good and the sound fx made me laugh. The gameplay of being in battle but focusing on healing is a creative idea. Nice submission!

Developer

Yeah the UX definitely needs improvement, and maybe also a more detailed How To Play :D

Thanks for playing and the feedback <3

I love the cute and sweet artwork and the funny "noises" for sound effects. Pretty cute and fun game!

Developer

Thank you! We also had a lot of fun building it!

Loved this entry! Great work, it felt like i was playing as WoW healer :D

Developer

That's great to hear, thank you! Exactly that was the inspiration :D

You might like a game on steam that i enjoyed a lot called Mini Healer :)

The graphic style is really cool. Giraffe is my favorite!

Developer

Thank you!
Giraffe blushes :D

LOVED this one! the gameplay loop is addictive already! Giraffe doesn't seem to be having fun, but i guess if i was living in a cave and being nicked by monsters all the time, my mood would be low too.

Thank you very much!
Who knows, Giraffe might appreciate an attempt to improve their mood ;)

Overall, this was such a fun concept! I loved the art and that little “de de de dee!” sound effect ... so cute. I didn’t mind the f-bomb at all, but it caught me off guard since the look feels so wholesome 😅. I did a few runs and picked things up as I went. At first, I thought I had to click the alley, then the spell, so a tiny nudge in the beginning could help clarify how spells are applied.

I also accidentally skipped past the success screen once because I was clicking fast at the end of a battle — maybe a small pause or different button placement could help avoid that.  I thought the ending was tied to whether an ally survived the final fight, but realized it’s always the same screen. Different endings would be amazing, but I know you only had 3 days, and what you pulled off in that time is super impressive!

It’s a really fun game that feels like it could totally grow into something bigger with more story.

The characters are all so cute and left me rooting for them... and the campfire so cozy.   Great job!

Thank you so much! Also for your long feedback and taking the time for it! Definitely the UX could use a lot more love, we worked until the deadline to cram in at least some more little improvements. We would also have liked to implement some kind of progression, but time was too short >.<

Do you mean different endings at the end of the 5 encounters? Or different endings after each combat? (Both! haha)

And yeees, I would love to implement some story, especially with these cute characters our artist made!

It's my pleasure!    I just meant different endings at the end of the 5 encounters.   I totally understand that it's hard to do everything you want under the tight deadline of a jam, though it's a great opportunity to get play testing done and feedback if you choose to build on it later or use that feedback for future ideas.   Looking forward to seeing what you make next 🙂

Developer(+2)

Thank you! A jam is also amazing to make everyone focus on the most glaring issues or urgently missing features tehehe.

And same, followed you right back!

I really enjoyed this game, the art and audio is especially cute! You interpreted the theme in a really cool way and it makes for a really fun and unique gameplay loop, nice work!

Developer(+2)

Thank you so much! Our audio people ran around their apartment and recorded tons of fun sounds, which also inspired us to go into a really whimsical direction overall. We also had a lot of fun building that and playtesting :D
