How does your game fit into the theme?
When the enemies die, they spawn projectiles that can kill nearby enemies and cause a chain reaction (I didn't manage to implement other features planned in time)

Having both movement and attack tied to the mouse made for an interesting gameplay where I have to sacrifice one for another. The different attack options also added another twist to it. I can see this concept expanding into something much more. Great job on the submission!
Nice and fun wave-based survival. The different bullets was fun to use. I especially like the charged shot, as it felt really strong! The sprites are cute! If expanded, I can see it getting even more fun to play.
I think maybe decoupling the movement and the shooting would be better. It's difficult to run and shoot behind you. It works with the circular shot, but ones that require aiming it tends to be harder.
Otherwise, great work!
I can see the potential in this game and I hope you continue to work on it. I think the multiple ammo types are great and could act as additional re-playability as "classes". I agree with Gizmo where this game could really use strafing movement so you could move and shoot independently, but that might have been an intended gameplay mechanic so that training the enemies was more complex. I saw the vision and enjoyed what was coded. Keep up the good work :D
The sprites are so cute! Love the graphics here. One thing I hope that would be coming in the future is being able to use the keyboard for movement and mouse for shooting/aiming. I'm on a laptop and using the trackpad is a little difficult, but I know I'm just an edge case. I just keep running in circles and figure eights right now trying to kill things hehe. Otherwise, good job! Really enjoying the game.
Hi! Thanks for your comment (I am pretty happy with how the sprites came out too ^^'). As for the keyboard movement, the game did originally have it, but then when thinking about the theme of chain reaction, (and realising the whole town segment I planned is not happening in the game jam time) I thought of Magicka combat system being great a great example of chain reaction based combat. Which is an inspiration I would love to delve deeper into after the rating period is over. Keyboard movement would be difficult with the combat system I want the game to have, but I will implement controller support at a later date if that helps (or if I decide that my Magicka inspired system is not fun, in which case yeah will revert to the keyboard movement ^^) - thanks for your feedback!
I see the potential on this one. The only thing I'd change (and that is just a personal thing) is the movement, I don't like the fact that I can't run and shoot the things I am running from at the same time. Other than that, it's good and I hope you'll finish it!
Cool gameplay. I liked the abilities but they seems to freeze the game for some reason. only made it to wave 9 before the game froze. I hope you keep working on the game.
