Love the cute art!
Thank you!
Super cute! Reminds me of the Lickitung sushi game on Pokemon Stadium. I loved the cats and their individual tastes - would have loved to see some accompanying sound design for them but I understand you went hard on the visuals!
As others have said it does need a bit of balancing, but if you're interested in working on it post jam I think you have a solid foundation for a fun and satisfying gameplay loop here. Great entry!
Thank you so much! We might reinvent the game for a post-jam version! ☺️
A beautiful looking game, especially the menus.
I did find the gameplay a little frustrating, for example I seemed to get a lot of requests I didn’t have anything for and couldn’t afford, so maybe “scaling” was a bit off.
When there were a lot of cats one mistake seemed to break everything and it was hard to get back on track. Maybe instead of spitting food it didn’t like back out a cat could leave without paying? Sometimes I don’t think I had anything that would please them and didn’t have enough money.
Thank you so much! Those are some good ideas and feedback, we really appreciate it.
I really like the art for this game! It did feel very frustrating at times though. I think it would help to add a bit of a warning for new cats coming in rather than simply having them appear because they would frequently cut off dishes meant for other cats. Maybe that was meant to be part of the challenge, but I felt it to be kind of unfair sometimes. It was also a bit frustrating when cats would order a dish I didn't have yet and couldn't possibly afford, because all of my other dishes were forced to go through them first and they prevented them from feeding the other cats without wasting the dishes. I think adding a way to temporarily disable the cats from eating, like moving them away from the table or something, would help a lot. It's possible there IS something like this and I missed it though. I know I probably sound very frustrated in this comment, but I do really like this concept and I would really love to see it explored more and polished into a more complete game. Good job!
Thank you for playing our game, and for the feedback! Yes, it was meant to be challenging, but the balance was not quite there so it ended up being frustrated! We have some ideas that could fix those issues for a post-jam version. And please don't apologize for sounding frustrated, if anything, it means you believe in our little game and its potential which is super appreciated. ❤️ Cheers!
I love the art style sooooo much!!! Everything is just so cute, and the game is definitely challenging with all the cats lining up. NO, THAT PUDDING WASN’T FOR YOU, SIAMESE!
Thank you! 😹
I love the art style!
Thank you!!
I loved the really polished art style. You have made a very beautiful game, particularly precise in its artistic work. Adorable entry! Well done.
Thank you so much for playing and leaving such a nice comment! ❤️
so much funnn, everyting is super clean love it <3
Thank you! ❤️
I absolutely love the character design. Best artwork I've seen so far!
Wow -- what a huge compliment! Thanks!
Feels very polished like a finished game! The gameplay has a lot of potential, but I found that the dishes I put in a specific order to make the most cats happy would end up being eaten by another cat that spawned in, or I wouldn't be able to afford to put all of the preferred dishes on the table unless I got lucky with the first cat spawn. I also accidentally softlocked myself by serving one egg sushi to the sweet tooth cat, buying the pudding to make them happy, then not having any money to actually put another dish on the conveyer belt lol. Once it's playtested and the kinks are ironed out I think you'll have a great game on your hands. Well done!
Thank you so much for playing and for giving us feedback! And yes, I've ran into the same exact problem! 😹Maybe one day we will "finish" this small game.
That's surely the prettiest game I've seen in the jam so far! I do have a fall for cats, so it wasn't hard to get me in love with it...
I also love the conveyor belt gameplay! The only thing I missed was being able to choose where the dishes I bought would go. I felt so sad about a cat that wanted green but the green food hardly ever reached him as he was last in position :'(
I had a lot of fun playing, congrats!!!
That means so much, thank you! ❤️I am glad you had fun!
I agree - maybe drag & drop would've worked a better in this context.
The design is super polished and the cats are adorable! The running sushi concept is also something that immediately gets your attention :) I probably wish that the gameplay was a bit less random as I got some orders in the beginning of the game that I couldn't afford, and it is hard sometimes to predict which cat is going to eat which food. Maybe it would be nice to have several levels where at first there is few cats and orders! I ended up serving random meals and my cats were always about 44% happy without changes.
All in all, a beautiful entry!
Agree that the early orders should've been set differently! Thank you so much for playing and commenting! :)
