How does your game fit the theme?
A combat game where cards determine your actions! You have a small deck of 7 cards that cycles itself, the cards you draw from it determines whether you can slash, shoot, or heal. However, once you've drawn cards to your hand, their order is fixed and you can only use them from the leftmost card to the right.

A neat combination of two games i wouldn't expect.
Pretty impressive atmosphere. The music, sfx, visuals, and visual effects complement each other nicely and form a coherent experience
Thank you for playing!
I really liked the lighting, it was just a bit hard to tell what card did what from the icon, and since it shuffled itself anyway there was no reason to not just spam the button, and basically have a gun that sometimes heals or slashes
There certainly should be incentives for not spamming, but I couldn't get it in in time for the jam. Thank you for playing though!
I loved the visuals, music and overall atmosphere of the game. The only thing is that some obstacles were a bit hard to see in certain sections. I also really liked the visual cues near the character that show what attack is coming next, it was great that I didn’t have to keep looking at the cards
Thank you for playing!
I have never played Chain of Memories as the previous comment mentioned, but i love this mechanic of looping cards and the leftmost card is your attack. Really interesting mechanic, never seen that before myself. You should explore that idea more :) Anyway, the art is lovely and the controls feel nice. I didn't quite get one of the attacks, but yea, I enjoyed it. Good work :)
Thank you for playing!
We Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories in here
I did play both KH:CoM versions. For sure they were an inspiration. Thank you for playing!
Interesting game. The visuals are pretty cool. I wish we had a better view of the main character.
The card or drawing mechanic was hard to understand. The most effective approach appeared to be clicking as quickly as possible to inflict damage and heal as quickly as possible.
The sound effects are not good. They work well in Yume Nikki because it's a different style of game, but in a fast-paced action game like this, they really dampen the atmosphere.
Thank you for playing! The card mechanics work in a deckbuilding, Slay-the-Spire-esque way. Since I haven't played around with the actual deckbuilding mechanics that much, there really isn't any incentive to not spam clicks, but it should change.
I would love to see the art if you had more time, it feels like you have a good direction. I played it for a few minutes and I enjoyed which means you have a good loop and it's a solid jam entry! I think the enemy spawning may have been broken. I made it almost 3 minutes but I stopped because it was becoming increasingly more difficult just to find an enemy whereas in the beginning they were abundant. My guess is the spawn algorithm was inverted?
Like Znerol said, I also did not enjoy the sound effects but I understand that sometimes you just need to get something in there. I would have like to have seen the cards be positioned directly underneath the player character somehow. It's too much to ask the player to constantly have to look away from the action in an action game.
Thank you for playing the game! The enemy spawning shouldn't be broken, however I might have made it so that spawner spawns less enemies after the initial wave, only getting an enemy in every 30 seconds or so. In general, near the jam's end I made the game a lot easier than it was since I was worried it might have been too difficult, but there are extra difficulty levels in the works. As for the cards' placement, I did try to reduce the need to look at the cards by having cues for the next action card near the player sprite but I suppose as you said it's better to just get the cards near the action.
Please don't take my comment as being critical either. I just try to provide constructive feedback because I know that's what I prefer.
If you keep working on it and upload updated versions I'd be interested in trying it.
cool game. sounds are a little too over the top for my taste
The sound effects are meant to be temporary so it'll change. Thank you for playing the game!
Nice pixel art and fluid controls. The text and background colors on your game page are pretty similar making the instructions hard to read.
I fixed the page colors. Thank you for playing!
