A pretty okay game! I definitely liked the pixel art look of the 3D world, the isometric view is nice too however it could kinda get a bit weird with the amount of objects it clips through,  the game did start off kinda slow but it was pretty good! I loved how the other characters also just walked around while you minded your own business, added to the life of the game! The only real issue i had was at the start with picking the beverage as it kept picking up the pickaxe instead of the beverage unless i placed the pickaxe miles away :>

Nice idea for a game jam! I would like to give some suggestions, you guys have created an isometric view style, so do not let the camera be able to get rotated by player, just let the camera static which moves with the player itself, this is how isometric is done, else it feels very jarring. Otherwise it was a nice experience! I would like to hear your opinion on my submission as well :)

Developer

ik its kinda a long time after you posted this (i dont check my itch often) but we made the rotation like that because we couldnt really find a way to let the player pick up the items without pointing on it that made sense (picking up was buggy anyways) (and even for me as a dev it felt unnatural when you could rotate the camera but atleast imo communication in our team was the weak point so we didnt communicate it). thanks for the comment though

My favorite part is the art and how the village and landscape looks. I managed to beat it (with the Hint button) and it only took a few tries. My only feedback it that I often wanted to look up so I can see more, but the camera controls wouldn't let me (I'm assuming it's because there's no sky and it would be awkward in houses).

PS - I found this game through Post Jam Productions :)

Thank you for your comment and rating. We will release a new version after the jam with fixed camera controller.

Developer

yeah even me as one of the devs found the camera system pretty awkward, though one reason why you couldnt look up is because there was the minimap marker above you in the game world and itd feel weird seeing that

I like your art style it so simple and classic for me.

If possible, can you please rate my game and leave a comment too.

Thank you for your kind comment!
I played your game and I had a lot of fun playing it. I managed to pay the debts, but didn’t win in the end. I left a rating for you as well.

Thanks again!

This is a cute game! I just couldn't get through it due to the extremely high mouse sensitivity and top-down/isometric perspective...

It's like a goofy version of clock town from Zelda, the visuals were very charming and I liked the NPCs

Developer

Thank you! The NPC's movement actually reuses the same system I made for my racing game Kaninchen Kart where it is used for AI opponents.

Very whimsy, I love how silly the guard is like bro the key is right there

We played your game before this and gave it a 10/10. Thanks and keep the good work!

Very pleasant design and a somewhat interesting story..
Ich glaube das Fachwerk ist nicht DIN Norm konform :P

Developer
