I like your concept of these loop time sort of games - so that player doesn't rewind but everything else does (well except the blue ones :D). I also like the audio design but one thing bothers me: I think that the player should stand out more from the background texture, maybe if player would have red shirt or something like that so that it is more noticable. Nice game!
That makes sense if you have a monitor that isn't very bright great suggestion!
Fun and simple concept. The levels are fun and thought out. If the rewind mechanic was a bit more polished, the game would do much better. Good job!
thank you I plan on expanding on this mechanic in the future
Grats on your submission!
I'm afraid I had trouble with this one, as it took me a while to figure out that I could use the A and D keys to scrub the timeline once the game was paused.
yeah it was designed for you being able to use your mouse to move the slider but I was thinking of adding controller support so I made it so you can press buttons to move the slider but never added controller support
Really like the concept. Took me longer than I'm willing to admit to understand the time mechanic, but once I did, it had a good feel for the rest of the game.
yeah I think as from a design perspective I could have done a better job at teaching the mechanic for the first time like the level after that first time rewinding level instead of the player having to clip through a platform as the first test
Really nice game. The time reversal ability was really easy to use with it showing where things would be in that point in time.
Thank you!
This was a super neat game! The time rewind mechanic took a little getting used to, but once it clicked it worked great. I also quite liked the art used throughout too!
I had a weird glitch where, when resetting or starting a level, it would freeze for a half second or so before continuing. Got a little frustrating when i had to ump precisely and that happened, but overall this was really good :)
Yeah the lag was from shader compilation because of the particle effects if I expand on this the first thing I'm doing is adding a shader compilation screen
I got stuck on the first platform, wasn't sure how to visualise the rewinding amount / time. Maybe for the first time, would be good to add visually what would happen to the platform. I manage to time it at some point but didn't get picked up by the platform :(
The blue Squares show where something is going to be I think if I explained that it would make sense. thank you
good idea
thank you
nice idea and good execution. well done.
would love your feedback on my game too :) thanks a lot
ok I'll go rate it now!
cool concept
thank you!
Really neat game! I think the time reversal was a little difficult to use at times- notably that first moving platform in the level that introduces the time mechanic doesn't always pick you up if you don't hold down the button for a hot second, which is a bit unintuitive. But the game had some really neat puzzles and I especially liked the little preview it gives of where each object will be in real time- it does a lot to make the mechanic easier to plan around, nice touch!
Thank you so much I also really liked your game and I understand the real time need I just kind of ended up planning it around pausing the game to allow for something like the second level with the mechanic but I will definitely test it out and it might even end up with a better game! By the way I actually took a lot of inspiration from little slime blows up in terms of how I handled the content loved that game!
cool mechanic and ambience! i wish the time reversal was real-time so it would be easier to use
Thank you for your feedback I may try that in an update or in a future project!
I’m always a big sucker for time reversal games. Fun game but the music was really loud not sure if that was a me problem or something else. I also struggled with figuring out how the time control worked. It was hard to understand the exact amount of time I was rewinding. Overal fun
thank you! I plan on doing a small patch after the jam to fix any issues I missed and I might try expanding on this mechanic in the future
