Nice little game. I like the atmosphere. I like that I can hear the enemies before I can see them. Maybe use a sound with a bit less bass, for lack of a better word. Good job on your game!

I like the concept for the game, definitely a strange place. It took me a bit to understand that the first few goals were the total amount of resources gathered. I would also suggest making the resources a little bit bigger and more visually distinct. At times, it was kind of hard to see what would yield or cost which resource. Making them distinctly different colors would also help with that. Great job on your game!
It never even occurred to me to make a dispatch-style game for a game jam! Great job on your game. I liked the art and voice acting. Personally, I would have preferred it if the zone I was trying to hit was hidden and not just shown. It takes away the fun of trying to figure out whose strengths are best for the job. Instead, I just found myself trying to overlay the triangle as best I could without looking at the description of the task at hand. A cooldown timer for the resting team members would have also been nice.
Adorable pixel art. I liked your character portraits! The pace of the game felt a bit too slow for me. If you want a slower-moving character, I would advise making the levels a bit smaller and more compact. You should also consider adding a “skip to complete sentence” button so you don’t have to wait for the text to be completely written out. This felt like a bug, because when I opened the in-game menu to lower the music, the game kept registering my clicks and progressing the dialogue. Good job on your game!
Glad I could help! It is completely valid to keep the UI to a minimum. I think it keeps your game clean and visually appealing. I also get your point about not showing the score on screen and keeping your player in suspense. Maybe experiment with a different visual indicator (in or around your hole) that changes color or something as you collect more points. That way, the player still has some indication of how they are doing without having an exact score. I am just spitballing, feel free to ignore the last part, haha. Again, great job on your game!
Your art is very colorful, I like it! The character felt way too floaty for my preference. The drawing mechanic was fun. You were quite ambitious with the story for a game jam game. My advice is to maybe keep it a bit more concise. A lot of people will bounce off your game when they are immediately faced with a wall of text, which is a shame because then they don’t get to play your game.
I also liked that you had an area in which you could not draw. I think that is a smart idea, but I would suggest making it a bit more visually clear or having your character comment that they can't draw there. Pressing the G button in the game felt very unnecessary. Just make the player continue to the next screen when they have collected the key and touched the gate. It also took me a bit to realize that the music was muted in your game options.
Good job on your game!
A simple game mechanic done well. Fun game with easy to understand mechanics. I like the clean and colorful presentation of your game! Maybe add a small “stamina” circle below the weird dude, similar to the timer around the hole. I would have liked to see my total score on the screen during the game. There was also a moment in level 3 where green characters kept spawning above the orange hole, which kept causing me to lose points without any way for me to stop it. That felt kind of frustrating. Still, overall a fun game!
I am Chezus’s dyslexic friend :P. Besides the fact that spelling things is my personal mini hell on earth, this was an interesting game. I liked the overall theme and idea of a spirit medium. You set the theme and general atmosphere very well. I have some small points of criticism. It was often not clear where my next letter would be on the page when I had to move back or forwards. The novelty of this wears off fast and becomes irritating. I'm not a big fan of the timer. I understand that you are trying to create urgency, but then you should either give the player an option to retry the current line or a way to add time (maybe by clicking something or some action with the typewriter).
Interesting idea for a game! I have some suggestions. I would create a clear signature field on the documents that you have to sign. It was not really clear what they expected from me. Also, the rhythm game part stopped taking inputs when I was signing a document. If this was an intended game mechanic, then you should give the player small breaks between the two. When it comes to UI, I would also add the corresponding buttons either in or below the rhythm game buttons.
Being stuck in an elevator is one of my irrational fears. Great take on the theme of the Jam. I also liked your art and music. A great story game, good job! I only have two points of criticism. I would have liked a checkpoint in the turret part after you have collected the keycard. Having to do that section over again felt kind of frustrating. You also have a limit of 3/3 throwing stars, but they keep refilling. I don’t really see the point of having a limit on it in this case.
Well, this game took a turn I wasn’t expecting! You managed to create an interesting and disturbing atmosphere. good job! I think there is more potential in the tool-switching aspect. Maybe force the player to find a pickaxe before he can use it, or something like that. Scrolling to a different tool felt too easy, if you get what I mean.
This game made me think about Splatoon, but with actual violence. Your UI is great, I love the old TV style. You also do some very smart things, like making the top scorer color the border of the TV screen. It might be that I am just terrible at this game, but I never seemed to win a head-on knife fight with an NPC. I also would have liked it if the guns were a bit stronger. Great job!
An interesting idea for a puzzle game. I was disappointed when you almost immediately threw the moving on either side with the alien out of the window. I think there might be more potential to explore with that mechanic. It was also unclear when the box stopped being interactable in the beginning. Maybe make the box a different color when it is locked in?
Cute game! I like your art style. It kind of reminded me of the Don’t Starve art style. My main criticism is that you don't instruct your player to memorize their surroundings. I would also suggest either changing just one thing every "round" or giving an indication of how many things have changed. Also, allow the player to skip the intro. It gets kind of frustrating to have to sit through it every restart.
Great job on the art and style. I liked your backgrounds. In the beginning, it was really unclear what I needed to do. A small tutorial would help with that. It was also hard to see which parts of the train were "interactable" and what they specifically did. The ammo reloading was very clear because of the animation, but I still don't know what the box in the second train carriage does. Maybe highlight the different "tasks" a crew member can do when you click on him, and add a small label to that thing when you hover over it, that would help with that!
Incredible game jam game! I absolutely love the weird art and card design. It took me a bit to get going, but it was fun once I got the hang of it.
The one suggestion I have is to show the cost that a card is generating or using as an icon in the text of the card. You have a lot of text that says things like "costs 1 mica" or "clover." Maybe showing an icon there would reduce the amount of reading required for your cards.
It took me a bit to figure out I needed to do an arrow key combination to cast a spell, but I figured it out. Personally, I am not a really big fan of the Lostwood-style level design. It always feels a bit too much trial and error. Maybe give visual hints or something on your mini-map that indicates the direction you need to go. The casting of spells was fun frost was my go to spell!
I like the concept of defending a lighthouse with light. The monster design was very cute. I personally would have liked a score or wave counter or something that indicated my progress in the game. I also would have liked to maybe pick up and place the defenses myself. That would give the player a bit more agency and allow them to strategize a bit. Fun game jam game good job!
Great job! I'm always impressed when people make a more story heavy game. The art and music are great. When it comes to gameplay, I maybe would have liked an option to take the elevator. Or, if you force the player to walk back every time, maybe change small things along the way as the game gets weirder (but that takes a lot of work, and this is a game jam XD).
I like the visual structure of your game. It looks very interesting. I wish there was a bit more to do in it, though. Maybe a parcours of rings you had to fly through or something like that. I think I also had a small bug; sometimes I wasn't able to steer left or right with the mouse. Overall, good job!
Quite a controversial topic with the current drama in the curling world :P. I like the idea of doing a sport in the completely opposite environment than what it was intended for. I personally would add a line from which you have to start curling. That part was a bit unclear just now. The different abilities were creative. good job!
