This was a really fun short story to watch. I love the goofy story line, the odd choices, and the ability to draw anything you like in the story. I wonder if it was intentional not to have an eraser? If so... probably made the drawings funnier. Great voice acting too!
i just made this game make no sense lmaoo. the bandit was a tree, the bandit's gang was boots, the old man was a mushroom, karl was a woman and olivia was a woman. the artifact was the deathly hallows , so i guess that makes sense seeing as it's an artifact
This game is great. had fun doing story about Austrian Moustache man, A bandit Hellcat tank, Erwin Rommel in pz6 , and a Pickup truck with Mg on the back, katyusha truck, and additionaly epic flag artifact
So I played this for the first time and my drawing of a girl turned out to be a girl, and my drawn frog turned into a real frog, and then back into a drawn frog again. Also the only drawing that accidentally appeared grumpy (all the rest had big fat smiles) turned out to be an evil bee queen.
Yeah... At first, I wanted to make a gender-neutral story, but my knowledge of English and writer skills are not good enough to accomplish that in a short period of Ludum Dare game jam.
Nice game but if you ever make a expanded version here's what I would recommend: Multiple stories with diffrent roles to play as in these stories, more Interactions that affect the plot, a custom story creator

this was fun! I am not a very good drawer but thats half the fun of it. (My evil queen was a fluffy cat and my Bandit a beautiful blue snake like dragon (who appartly hides hair under her bandana - now i imagine it a bit like this chinese lungs with their manes).
I'm afraid you encountered some kind of bug. It's not supposed to be like that. If you are playing a web version, you could try another browser (for example Firefox).
I really liked this game up until the very end. The art, voice acing, scripting, are all amazing. The story is good as far as a kid's story goes but that ending ruined it for me.
When you're engaged in a story the last thing you want is to be remembered of a different one. References are fine but when the crucial climax of your story is straight up taken from The Lord of the Rings it feels cheap, like the writers got lazy and didn't want to think through how to salvage the situation and resorted to copying from the great writers, It would not have been as bad if it were more subtle but as it stands currently, it ruined the immersion for me.
Still a great game, and I doubt many kids will notice it but that's my one complaint.
It seems like a lot of people got upset with my "references" this time. I'll try to limit myself next time. And yeah, the LoTR trick was my laziness, but we were running out of time, and I had to come up with something, so I decided to go LoTR route. Thanks a lot for the feedback!

This is a great game, but it can become cursed if you're that one person. And I'm that one person i think, oops.......

my hero was a banana riding a duck and it is one of my greatest creations. XDXD
Its a nice and funny game, the story keeps nice and i like that little twist, i ended up married with an alien, hehe

Haven't heard of it before. But yeah, there are a lot of different games with similar concepts. For example "Draw to life" for Nintendo DS.
