How is this game a platformer, what spin does it bring to the genre?
The connection between style and mechanics gives the player an unusual experience that they must try to realize in order to reach the top!

How does this game fit the theme?
Reverse can be understood in different ways, in my case it is not just switching between states, but a direct continuation of the essence of folded and unfolded paper

What did you make yourself and what assets did you use?
I made absolutely all the assets myself. Literally. I tore paper to get the platforms I needed, photographed other objects in stop motion, like scissors, and recorded the sounds myself. I only used background music from a third-party site.

Did you use any AI assets in this game?
Every now and then while working with the code, since I'm still learning, ChatGPT would explain things to me and help me solve problems.

Awesome visuals and interesting idea! That said, the slippery controls made the experience more frustrating than fun for me while trying to play. I think with some tweaks to make 'em more accessible this would be a really cool experience. Thanks for making and sharing it!

A very unique game mechanic and the artstyle is really great. The controls are a bit fiddly and take some time getting used to. Very nicely done!

Took me awhile to get a feel for the controls. Was not easy at first. Love the uniqueness of how the art was actually made. Although it doesn't seem it at first, the game can be pretty punishing too with a full restart everytime (this isn't necessarily a bad thing).

Developer

Thank you) I think we need to make simple falls down like in Jump King, thanks for the comment and for the rating!

I really like the realistic view of the game and had fun playing, but the player seems a bit too slippery for me.

Developer

Thanks! I thought making the controls a little more complex would be a good solution for a platformer)

i'm absolutely in love with this artstyle it's so much fun to look at!! it's pretty hard to get used to the controls (maybe the folded version could be less floaty idk) but once you do it's a cool ride up there!

Thank you very much! I wanted to add some complexity to the controls like Jump King and make a clear distinction between the folded and unfolded versions.

I love the look of this game. I ran into consistent performance issues, which made the fast rolling of the ball a bit difficult to control. Otherwise, this is a very creative take on the theme!

Developer

thank you very much! I came to this jam a little late, didn't have time to set everything up properly(

Wow, what a great style.
And you used  your pictures and sounds for assets? That's very cool!

Developer(+1)

Yes, everything was done by my hands (and lips, if we are talking about the fan :) ) The only thing I didn't do was the background music

I like the style, especially the fact you tore up all the pieces of paper yourself. It's really enjoying me, there is a potential to develop into a fullgame with skins for paper(please make a pink skin)

This is a pretty fun game and the aesthetics feel very nice. I like the idea of unfolding though i don't understand why the wrapped up ball is so bad at doing anything. For me i felt like i only had to be unfolded for the whole game and never really needed to use the wrapped up form because its so weak. it also has a really weak jump too. I think the idea is nice but try to make both balls forms equally needed.

Developer

Thanks for trying my game! I intentionally made the ball have a lot of inertia so that the player would have to calculate the speed and momentum correctly in order to unfold and not fall somewhere) To put it simply, folded paper should feel heavy and clumsy, so that, for example, in the air it can fall sharply down and avoid danger, while unfolded paper should be light and very responsive to compensate for the folded state

fair enough. i think its just hard to jump normally when your folded even over a simple platform. But the games great otherwise.
