Cool game

"The control scheme is really interesting. I kept trying to use A and D to move left and right out of habit before realizing it didn’t work, haha. I really like your art style, and the limited field of view is a cool idea too!

As a red/green colorblind person I was VERY very confused to start out -- I think it took me like 10 minutes to figure out why "remaining" was going up instead of down. I love this sort of shadow style and I'm glad I stuck around though. When you're damaged, it's a rocky experience trying to move around -- appreciated the little ":(" sprite.

Developer

Didn't thought about this. We should have make another way to tell this other than the color. We will keep that in mind for next projects.

Thanks for the feeback !

Had fun playing!
Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feeback, glad you enjoy it. We wanted to add more monsters but sadly too short in time.

Awesome that you make a video for each game you test.

Cool game! I love the concept and the ambience!

I haven't played many top down horror games like this, but I think more people should lean into this style. I found the controls super unintuitive which really added to the fear, cause I felt pretty helpless sometimes. Like a baby chick

Developer(+1)

Thanks ! Yes that was the point we were trying to achieve with these controls, i'm glad it worked with you. I wasn't sure if it was going to be  just a pain for the player or add to the immersion, I guess it depends on the players.

Fun one! Thanks for making this. My experience can be summed up with : Oh breakroom, breakroom, wherefore art thou breakroom?

Submitted(+2)

I like the environment and how straightforward the game is! How the light interact with the environment is pretty cool. One thing I did notice though is that the player's collision box is noticeably bigger than the player's actual sprite that led to getting stuck on objects and around corners.

Developer

Yes we forgot to adjust it after changing the sprite :(

Thanks for  the feedback !

You did a great job on the environment, making it feel spooky. I like the premise. Adding an objective marker for going back to the break room would be helpful. Nice art also!

Submitted(+2)

Very nice game, like the enemy design a lot! Also the way back to the break room seems like the actual challenge everytime.

Submitted

Idea is simple and creative; wish I could know where the break room is. After activating the lever, I couldn't find my way back.

Developer

Thanks ! We figured that leaving you find your way back to the break room was an easy way to increase difficulty and spooky encounters.

Quite a simple game, the idea of which is even simpler.

The only thing that can confuse is the controls, which I did not immediately understand. There were not enough sounds and effects, decorations for the location itself. In 15 minutes after activating all the levers, I still could not find the exit, perhaps the flag for the exit did not hurt either. The enemies are rather boring and clumsy, sometimes they disappear on their own.

Developer

Yes we tried to make the player feel a bit lost but that was maybe too much.
