Fun balancing game! The distribution of shapes could be a little less random to ensure you don't get a 2.5 then 10 .2 but overall fun!
Thanks for playing! I'm not exactly sure what you meant by 10.2... there's actually no 10.2 kg weight in the game. The whole idea is that the game thrives on its randomness!
I meant 10 different .2kg weights, my bad lol
It's alr thank you for playing!
Fun game! I really liked the idea and minimalistic style. I couldnt really see the button or where the shapes were on because of my screen, but other wise it was awesome!
Others had the problem too with the screen size! In a future update i'll fix that. Glad you enjoyed!
Fun arcade like game, i would love some sound design on the shapes but the music and vibes were great to grind a good result.
Thank you for playing!
Interesting idea, and well implemented! Good minimalist approach to the art style, and I found the music fit really well. Was definitely easy to cheese the score by getting an equilibrium and coming back after a few minutes and spamming cubes. You could take inspiration from Tetris and keep continually dropping weights but allowing the player to choose when to place then for a few seconds beforehand, if you wanted to de-cheese it a bit.
Concept was simple yet interesting, and the gameplay felt nicely polished. Good stuff!
Hey! I thought about your feedback and came up with an idea: each cube has its own timer that makes it drop after a certain time. But, just like in Tetris, you can drop them manually. Or there are enemie-cubes that keep the player engaged, beacuse he has to act. What do you think is better? Thank you for playing!
Interesting concept, I like it!
What you mean I cheated I just waited 200 seconds with 2 cubes then spammed cubes with auto clicker.
I have to work on that... Thank you for playing! <3
So simple and minimalistic, but so effective. Loved the use of physics in this one! I think some sort of time pressure or "turbulence" would make this game awesome, because I could deliberately reach some weird equilibrium where it would stay balanced infinitely (in the picture). Maybe something as simple as the weight dropping after 3 seconds you want it or not could work.
Thats a good idea! Like in tetris where the cubes keep falling anyways and you just can click to place them faster. Thank you for playing!
Whoah, I like how name is literally describing the gameplay, really cool concept
Thanks! I didn’t even really think about the name... it just kind of came to me. I had my brother playtest it for a bit, and he totally panicked, and that’s when it all just clicked.
It's addicting. And it's just balancing shapes. Why is it addicting.
Great game!
Thank you sm! <3
Fun game I almost got to 40 secs! Very good interpretation of the limitation to great job!
Thank you sm for playing and these kind words! <3
Very fun game!! Found myself play it for quite a bit. Easily one of the top entry on this jam
Thank you for these kind words. It makes me so happy to see people enjoying what i made! <3
Nice! I haven't done much with Godot's physics objects, it's possible to get a balance going, so adding a second criteria for score (cube count? total weight?) might be a fun addition.
Thats a cool idea! When theres a future update, i'll definetly add that to the game! <3
Look what i came up with:
Nice improvement! Love the way the elements are lined up there too.
Ty! Good luck with your game!
Nice submission! As mentioned 21:9 aspect ratio cuts the screen off so you barely see the balance board, but it's still playable! 40 seconds 45 cubes.
Thanks! I’ve fixed it already, but unfortunately I can’t upload it right now. Coming soon! Thanks for playing!
Lasted 42 seconds, placed 56 cubes. I love the concept and vibe of the game. The game is actually pretty well made! I think it could become a great indie game with enough time! Good work!
This would make a great mobile game. I liked the concept and aesthetic a lot! And indeed, I did panick a little bit.
It does behave weirdly on 21:9 aspect ratio, but worked perfectly fine on my second monitor. Good job!
