OK!! HOLD UP.. You guys made a 3D GAME for a 2 day game jam.. WITH FULL ON VOICE ACTING!!?!?

And it actually works and feels polished.. WOW. I did NOT expect that ever..

1st.. That artstyle and sound design is truly beautiful, I love the assets!

For the gameplay, it was really fun! I loved the grapple gravity manipulation, it reminded me alot of "A story about my uncle". Truly a lovely game

And the level design was also amazingly done, the world was very big but I never really felt lost, everything important was very easy to find!

The item gravity manipulation mechanic was kinda hard to understand as it just pulled items towards where u were llooking instead of pulling the items close to u and it was also a bit hard to conrtrol

I was surprised by the amount of stuff you managed to pack in this, a whole cloud area and a cave area and the collectibles too (I only found 4 in my playthrough 馃槶)

It definitely felt a bit short and kinda too easy but that was expected due to the huge scale of the game

Let us not forget about the story and the lovely cat at the end, both truly adorable

Btw, I get the theme implementation, but couldnt get how the pre-requisite was implemented

Also I did notice a bug.. When any voice line is going on and I grapple, the voiceline starts to distort

Overall, you guys nailed it and ESPECIALLY for a 48 hr jam, I love the physics and the mechanics, though a bit mixed on the item pick one.

The artstyle, voice acting and the sound design were all lovely

But the amount of polish in this game is truly remarkable! You guys did an amazing job!

Developer

Thank you very much ! for the feedback, the time you took to answer  as well as the bug report !

We almost skipped sleeping during the whole 48h, but it was worth it. Our interpretation was that the spells are modifying gravity and therefore an indirect way of controlling the character. I admit that it's subject to interpretation though.

The left clic mechanic could definitly be improved, I agree with you.

Thank you again !

I LOVE the art, love the sounds and am amazed at how polished this is (maybe I should work in a team more). My only real complaint is that the gravity thing is hard to control cause it raycasts to the surface your looking at so it鈥檚 hard to prevent it from falling off the map, having a physics bug and flying across narnia, and a few other things.

I expected it to work more like the Gravity Gun from Half Life 2 which is a lot easier to manage.

Great game! Really fun to swing around and explore, although I did find the left click to be a bit hard to control.

Developer

Thanks a lot, yeah, the left clic in its current version is annoying, we wanted to have the ability to scroll to move the spell closer or farther from the character, effectively allowing for mid-air control, but the lack of time got us on this one and we could not implement it in time

The story is really great. I really loved the gravity pull mechanic. The controls are really great. The voice acting, the graphics everything is 10\10 for me.

Developer(+1)

Thanks ! That means alot to us 馃檹
Altifox team did wonders on the audio & 2D art part as per usual that's for sure !
I'll tell our voice actress about your kind review ! :)

Great Game! Had lots of fun flying around using the gravity spell. The controls are so well done, especially for a jam. The art is amazing. Overall, a really fun experience.

Developer

Thanks alot for that great comment, means alot to me and to the team ! 馃檹馃檹馃檹

this was so much fun i love it !!!

it took me a bit to realize i can just swing around however i wanted, but when i did i had a lot of fun
love the writing, the assets are really nice too

i was trying to grab that token under the cloud for a good while and it seemed like i just keep going through it without collecting, not sure if i just aimed poorly or it's bugged

and when i was going down the cloud, i accidentally let go of the crystal, cold sweat washed over me because i was sure i'd never see it again, but i found it on the road when i got down, not sure if that was a safety precaution or i just got lucky

maybe i missed it but i didn't see the cat in the end :[[[[[ shame, but otherwise i really had fun, good job !!

Developer(+1)

Thanks alot for the kind message !
Yes we wanted to make it more obvious that you need to "strafe" in the air to really control your movements, but time limited a lot of things for us sadly :/
Hmm for the cloud paw it works fine for all our testers, so i guess you just had bad luck on that one

For the green crystal, nah you just had luck on that one haha, althought on recent builds crystals now reset if stuck (lost) for too long + if they hit death triggers / lava / water; left click spell was meant to be completely rework for a more "gravity gun / Half life" style spell but again, time was against us

Bruno the cat was inside the tower, sadly we missed on time to finish the composition in that part so he appears a bit small and it's easy to miss him, thanks again for your comment !

Okay, fine, I don't want to play this because of the automatic camera rotation...

Otherwise. You guys did an amazing job! The movement mechanics are great, the only thing is, I would have made the speed loss a little less... Otherwise, both the voice acting and the graphics are all great! I even managed to collect 8 paws before I hit a rock... I give you 8 lost cats out of 10 because of some things that seemed wrong to me

That's so wierd, you're the second person to report this bug to us, while none of our friends had it, which leads me to think it's linked with keyboard settings maybe ? are you using a QWERTY keyboard ? (we all have AZERTY in the team and so does our friends)

Submitted (1 edit)

Yeah qwerty, XD but I'm don't think problem is here

Developer (1 edit)

Hey ! That's an interesting bug, none of our testers had it, could you be a little more specific on what you meant by "automatic camera rotation" please ?
Are you referring to the camera shake when you cast a spell ? Because i can't think of anything that could make the player automatically rotate around itself other than a stick drifting on a gamepad, but i double checked and gamepad doesn't do anything (i never implemented it in the first place haha)

Can you maybe write to me on discord? My nickname is the same on micro-jam server like and there

guys just... How to move this rock???

Developer

Hit it in full speed to break it ;)

Oh...

Really cool movement mechanic and impressive world for 48h.
The only negative thing I have to say is, that the character automatically turns to the right for me, which is a bit annoying.

Developer(+1)

Thanks you very much, and thanks for the bug report, we never had this one that's wierd.
Looking back I think that the scope we aimed for was too big for a 48 hour jam, so the three of us ended up almost skipping sleep during the 48 hours. Lessons were learned I guess, but we're proud of the final jam version !

Developer

Do you know if you had a controller plugged into your PC when testing the game ?
we didn't test controller gameplay, this might be it ?

Submitted

No, I don't any input device  plugged in other than my mouse and keyboard, just tested it again

Developer

Thank you for your feedback, I guess this is not it then, what a strange bug

Developer

Hello !  Upon investigation it looks like this is a browser specific issue, it appears only on firefox & non-fullscreen mode (and to add to the crazyness, only on the itch.io site, not on local webbuilds) I'm sorry you got that issue, if you could try again on another chromium based browser, maybe you would enjoy it as much as we do 馃檹 !

I found the game very beautiful and interesting  I really enjoyed looking for the cat. Amazing!
