Thank you ! I'm happy you liked the mood i created for the environemnt.
For performance issue, I'll suggest you to use a chromium based browser if you're not using one already (Chrome, Edge, Opera, Brave, ...) as non-chromium browsers like Firefox struggle alot with webgl games sadly.
You're right on the build aspect, i used as much time as i could and finished the 2nd level 15min away from the deadline, i'll make one if you're still interested in giving the game a second try :)
Thank you Aaron ! I really wanted a contrasty 2D/3D aspect from the begining, i'm happy you liked it :)
As for the 3D aspect of the game, i guess it's thanks to the team having definied roles (The lead was the coder, etc) and i was almost fully commited to the 3D modeling & Level design of it (appart from i'll say 10% of 2D/3D shader work & team helping)
The first level is pretty straight forward, you simply get some dust, and give it to the Vacuum to Overload it 馃槉
Thanks alot for the kind words ! 馃檹
(I, the environement & TechArtist responsible for the aesthetic of the project) am indeed being developing games for 11 years now, with 3+years in AAA studios, so i'm quite pleased you felt that way !
The rest of the team is super talented in their specialities aswell, which makes for a healthy composition :)
Thanks alot for the great comment on the visual part ! I put all my heart on the visuals of the project, especially on those planets & the atmosphere effects 馃槉 (they're also super cheap computing wise which is a great thing)
For the issues you mentionned most of them are mainly because there was so many bugs linked to our usage of WebGL that sadly my colleague from Altifox couldn't do all the fine tuning he orgininaly wanted, also, the controls were wayyyy much satisfying with a controller, which is what we intended to ship the game with, but again, bugs prevented it from working in WebGL (but you can still Download the .exe version if you want to enjoy the game as intented !)
Wow ! I'm in love with your game, really enjoying the game mechanics & it feels super polished, that's a high grading from me, really nice job !!
I have just a tiny suggestion, the smooth follow of the camera could be annoying while i tried to place a block while the character kept jumping to get a coin, it might be cool if the smooth follow would be turned off while i'm actively trying to place that block ^^
Hello ! Upon investigation it looks like this is a browser specific issue, it appears only on firefox & non-fullscreen mode (and to add to the crazyness, only on the itch.io site, not on local webbuilds) I'm sorry you got that issue, if you could try again on another chromium based browser, maybe you would enjoy it as much as we do 馃檹 !
Hey ! That's an interesting bug, none of our testers had it, could you be a little more specific on what you meant by "automatic camera rotation" please ?
Are you referring to the camera shake when you cast a spell ? Because i can't think of anything that could make the player automatically rotate around itself other than a stick drifting on a gamepad, but i double checked and gamepad doesn't do anything (i never implemented it in the first place haha)
Thanks alot for the kind message !
Yes we wanted to make it more obvious that you need to "strafe" in the air to really control your movements, but time limited a lot of things for us sadly :/
Hmm for the cloud paw it works fine for all our testers, so i guess you just had bad luck on that one
For the green crystal, nah you just had luck on that one haha, althought on recent builds crystals now reset if stuck (lost) for too long + if they hit death triggers / lava / water; left click spell was meant to be completely rework for a more "gravity gun / Half life" style spell but again, time was against us
Bruno the cat was inside the tower, sadly we missed on time to finish the composition in that part so he appears a bit small and it's easy to miss him, thanks again for your comment !
