A very great game! I had a lot of fun playing it!

It was great, I liked it

The background and overall aesthetics looked amazing!
I love that spirit effect that appears around the possessed platforms, it looks really cool

I love the implementation of a sad story in the game

My only complaint for the gameplay would be that it felt a bit slow, like the lover's walk speed maybe couldve been increased by a bit

But other than that, the puzzles were quite good!  But Im not the biggest fan of how the jumpscare mechanic works, its a really cool idea, but cuz of the speed of the ghost, it becomes a game of how well can u predict the timing. Maybe if the ghost was faster? or maybe we could chain the jumpscares after the first jumpscare.

Nitpick: I also wish the controls for restarting were also mentioned in the game xD I missed them in the description had had to wait for the lover to die to restart the level, its a nice feature to have tho

Overall a solid game, the gameplay was fun but a bit slow for my taste. I love the visuals! Id also appreciate a bit more from the sfx department

Appreciate the feedback! I agree, the slow walk of the character is important for the 'vibe' of the game, but it does make it a bit boring sometimes when you have to wait. Like if she accidentally turns around, it can be quite annoying. Maybe advertising the reset button more in the game would have made that a bit easier to deal with so you can reset more quickly :)

Thanks for the kind words though!

Cool idea to include a background story! Very well executed!

Developer

Thank you!

I really liked that !

It's particularly rare to have game with a story in a jam, let alone a sad one, so well done on being innovative there !

I think that the jump could be improved a bit, because it's a bit hard to get right. Also, I feel like the second to last level was wayyy harder than the last one.

But it's really not a big deal, so well done for this ! :D

Thank you so much for playing! I may polish up these points after the jam is done to make it more fun to play based on all this feedback :)

Interesting you say that about level difficulties, I think there are actually quite a few different 'playstyles' for the game, and depending on your preference some levels are a lot easier or harder. But well done for completing it either way!

this is so lovely ! i love the art and mood, the theme interpretation is great as well
i love how mechanics are incorporated into the story

really enjoyed this, controls took a bit to get used to, but then i had a great time
only thing i would change is make the scare/jump instant when you click because sometimes it's hard to tell you'll have to travel for a split second before doing it and it messes up the momentum, unless you were aiming for that, could be a choice !

and the audio could be polished, but that's nitpicking, great job !

Thank you so much for playing! I think if we had more time we would definitely make the scaring timing a bit easier, it seems like one of the more frustrating parts of the game :) appreciate the feedback!

Interesting concept, the story is not very catchy, but you have quite original gameplay so... 7 strange spirits out of 10!

Liked this a lot, I was a little frustrated by the controls but overall enjoyed it quite a bit!

Developer

Thanks, we really appreciate that! Do you have any specific elements/issues with the controls that were frustrating to use? Would be great to know for next time!

I feel like the trigger for spooking her could be a bit bigger, it was hard to time her jumps, that was really the only part I got frustrated with. Platforming elements and such were all solid.
