This is a bit overdue but congratulations on your victory.

Developer

Tks Danes
We are getting organized for the promised Updates. :)
I hope to see you at other jams around here.

Visualy I have to say this is incredible and to think this was done in the short time for this jam. But I have to say though this feals more like a very good looking flight simulator then a rythem game.

P.S when you try my game later please use the latest build.

This game definitely destroys the idea of what I thought possible in such a short time.
Did feel like the controls could have been simplified just a bit like turning with AD instead of having to do WS on top ?
But still fet like a challenge so I dont know.
Definitely an INCREDIBLE submission, visually stunning !
Good work !

Developer

Thank you, these are words that encourage us to do more. Yes, as soon as the jam is over we will try to collect feedback here and apply it. :)

Wow!!
Great immersive experience.

We all know who is 1st

Thank you very much for your comment. I confess that I was a little discouraged.

I thought that the work of the artist and the musician was so well done. I really wanted to achieve a mechanic that was at least minimally attractive.

Art, music, audio, storytelling all is good, but i didn't understand what i needed to do in this game. And also for me hard to control the plane, but still overall relaxing experience

Developer

Hi, we tried to add a video tutorial in the game description. Hope it helps.

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

Ohh, now i get it, also i didn't know about Q and E. So that's why it was hard for me haha
But i think that's the problem with such short jams, when we uploaded our game just for 33 seconds before the ending of submissions. We understood that in our game also is not obvious what to press, but we also didn't have time to do the tutorial in the game itself

Art, Music, Voice...Girls Power! :)

The storytelling was immersive and fun. It felt like a mix of Up and Flow. The plane was great to fly around and I found myself getting lost in the environment. Music helped a lot!

My only downside was the core mechanic. I struggle with queues so it took me a second to figure out what I needed to do. It felt pretty hard to execute and I wasn't really clear how the plane movement was supposed to combine with the rhythmic elements. I crashed a total of 3 times.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for the feedback.

The initial idea was to throw a barrel or a musical record player and have it land at the correct time. It was practically impossible.

Later, we adapted it to direct synchronization.

I'll soon evaluate your game too, it's in the queue here.

The intro sequence has amazing quality, and the art is stunning, both in the intro sequence as well as in-game!  I love the story voiceover, and the little sayings of the cat as you fly are so cute.  The music is also very clean and relaxing to listen to.

The mechanics didn't quite... excuse the pun... land for me, since I'm not sure how to effectively stay within range of a lighthouse for the precise moment that I need to take an action in sync.  I got a "get closer to lighthouse" message more often than not when I tried to launch a clip.  I also struggled with the actual turning controls being on Q and E rather than A and D.  At least for me, I think swapping these would make it much more intuitive.  I found a few lighthouses but they were a bit too far apart to want to go find them all.  I was hoping that the compass showed the direction and distance to the nearest unvisited lighthouse, but I think it was just the direction the plane was pointing in and its altitude, which makes sense from an airplane instrument perspective, but not as useful for a player.

All in all, still quite a nice game though.  The plane's movement in general was very natural, and I like the slight floating motion too.  And again the art, music, and story were all stunning.  Great work!

Thanks for the feedback.

A good idea might be to combine a bit of both rotations q/e a/d could be a solution.

I'll think about it and if there's an update after the jam I'll let you know.

Yeah having some passive turning from one and active turning from the other would be interesting!

Developer (1 edit)

Hi jayfa. We have a update based in your feedback! :)
Now the compass do based in your sugest.
We work now in the plane control :)

If you can try again. tks for sugestion :)

Amazing! Finding all of the lighthouses is much more achievable with that.

we're updating TuNe Pilot with the feedback we received at JAM.

Wow insanely impressive game, especially for a game jam! The art is so cute and touching and the cat is adorable! It's a bit tough to control the plane, which made getting to close lighthouses a tad challenging. You made a very special game, and I adored my time playing it!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for playing. I coming soon to yours game too (it's in the queue here)

Stunning art and cozy vibes, my highlight is the intro sequence, giving Studio Ghibli vibes. The music is great, and the main menu has a level of quality I'd expect only of a fully released game.

My only complaint is that controls felt a little unintuitive, and it seems to be more of an exploration game / flight sim than a rythm game. This is crazy good for 1 week and 3 people, be proud!

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for the feedback.

Perhaps adding the idea of a collection of musical fragments and improving the idea of complementing the song with a new track would be effective in improving the experience.

WOAAAHH!!! This has GOT to be the most incredible game in the whole jam!! 😵😵‍💫🔥 Graphics? STUNNING. Voice lines? CHEF'S KISS. Mechanics? chef's kiss intensifies. EVERYTHING IS SO PRETTY!!!

Incredible visual art, especially with the water shaders and monuments. I saw the sketches on Discord and it’s really impressive to see your creative process. The storytelling is really nice too, it feels like a well-polished, cozy game. Bravo!

That said, it did start to feel a bit repetitive after my second lighthouse, and the plane physics were a bit different from what I’m used to in other games.

But overall, it just feels really nice to fly around with Mr. Lunos and enjoy the melodies.

Developer(+1)

Hi @jorgekourgut, thank you for your feedback! I agree! with the idea of spreading things randomly, it definitely should have been more balanced to improve the sense of progression. I really appreciate your constructive feedback.

As for the water shader, it’s actually just a plane with noise applied in Blender. The animation is simply a scale on the Y axis. I was also surprised by the result—it turned out better than I expected!

Check out the gif :D

I love this inside view! That's a clever simple approach to water that seems to have worked great!
