Added a better how to play on this page :)

Fixed some issues in the web player - it should now be properly scaled at a default embed and give you an option to full screen the game!

appreciate it <3

Will definitely do! Thank you for the kind feedback.

Thank you! That means a lot.

Appreciate the kind words!

Thank you!

and yes the art was generated with DALLE. For continuing forward I'll redo the art or bring on an artist.

Thank you for playing. Definitely wish I had more time for UX and tutorialization.

Once you have 3-4 ingredients in your mixer for a target drink it will be served automatically and your mixer should reset

I love this comment, thank you. <3

Thank you for the kind words. The mixer items should clear after you submit or hit esc/tab/backspace. So yes, potentially a bug for me to look into!

Great feedback! Totally agree there could be better direct indicators. Hitting letters is supposed to be "micro" vs submitting a word. When you submit a word the Tender will have a little text expression, but I am planning on doing animations for 'bar tricks'.  Also, I wanted to add a screenshake effect for near and perfect beats to really emphasize them,

For getting out of sync... I wanted it to be a little forgiving for being offbeat. I think a higher degrade on the multiplier would help focus in on the rhythm. As well as better visual emphasis on beats as mentioned above.

Part of it to was I wanted it to feel like a real "bartending" situation. I've... never been a bartender professionally, but I have observed and empathized with their workflow. It's maddening sometimes. Like... you're in a flow and then all of the sudden it takes on slip up and you're swamped. That sort of "damn how did I lose that rhythm" was an experience I had a lot playing Tapper.

Glad you had fun!!

Would love to see an auto mode where this plays itself as a sort of music visualizer.

I really like how the UI worked, it did feel thematic with the steel drum. It felt punishing when you were off beat or you missed a note. Definitely feels like you are the percussionist holding it all together.

This was really fun! I'd love to have a little more wiggle room for the beat.  Also wasnt sure if consecutive on beat slices was worth anything but it was fun to try!

Thank you! Once you make a Daiquiri a few times you'll be able to type Rum, Lime, and Sugar faster than you can open your phone.

I wanted to add difficulty modes to accommodate for a wide array of typists.  Given the timeframe I wanted to keep it simple and took a tip from Tapper. The waves actually only continue to the next one (for the first few) once all Patrons have been served. Sort of "difficulty scaling" without actually having to ask the user their skill preference.

I love this environment. The patrons were very critical of my performance. I don't think I was getting enough feedback on when I was doing good inputs vs off beat. Also wasn't totally sure how to interact with the ingredients. They seemed like they were activating by themselves?

I would turn the far clipping planes up so you can see the full environment. Also, how far down this road do I need to walk haha

I am so hungry. Only thing missing here is rice tbh!

I was going to add a menu book, but didn't have enough time. You can only look at the recipes when they're actively queued in a lane.

If you're curious though the current roster of drinks are (I actually built a unity editor menu to print them all haha):

Bahama Mama, Hurricane, Kiwi Kiss, Tequila Sunrise, Coco Cooler, Sunset Spritz, Blue Lagoon, Daiquiri, Mai Tai, Mojito, Piña Colada, and Sparkling Water.

This reminds me an old Kirby Crystal Shards game. It is hard or I suck tho!

Ran very choppy for me! I think the gibs system was to blame. I also thought watermelon would heal me p.q

This is going to take a little more rotations around the clock for me to wrap my head around it.

Appreciate the feedback. It was definitely a tight time frame. Tutorial was very much a stretch goal for the jam!

Just a little tip: it's basically just a typing test. You get sets of words to type "ingredient list of drinks" and basically get good at those patterns. There's only so many drinks a Patron can order right now so it's really repetitive.

But the basic idea is Tapper, but instead of tapping to fill up a beer, you need to identify and mix (type out) ingredients.

Eventually - you will have so many Patrons you can't keep up. At least, that's the general idea.

<3 thank you for the kind feedback!

The Beat System was really cool. I've done lots of these in the pasts, but I was curious how Bezi would handle it. It did really well. The system felt very flexible. It's driving animations, immediate feedback, the combo system, and is modular for any "rhythmic input" but mostly set up for character inputs and word submissions.

I don't think I had made your lane changes qualify for combo progression. I'll have to play again in a little bit to be sure. But, if I wanted to all I would have to do is 1 method call to subscribe it to the rhythm combo system.

ChatGPT does a better job of presenting the code than I would:

Current High Score: 33117 - Kingmaker (Dev)

NOTE: version 0.1.1 has a bug with Blue Lagooon - however there is a workaround. Instead of typing the impossible(?) `ç` character you should type `BCU`

Hint: All the ingredients have short hand codes. You just, have to be a skilled enough bartender to learn them!

Now, if anyone asks what its like to be me I will send them a link to this game.

This was the swingest, easiest to approach, and vibiest music game I've ever played.

Great music choices. I'll be back for more.

Right in the dyslexia - this is hard and fun. I will be playing again.

The curve where you hit "VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV" goes hard I enjoyed that bit of the adventure. So sastifying.

I feel like the text was a little too hard to see. Would be great to have accessibility options to know what letters to press for varying degrees of eyeball-yness.

This hit me hard in the PTSD from driving Rt 66 New Mexico & Arizona.

Strangely hypnotic. I felt... strange after buying my first house. My wrist hurt. There was no furniture. Could this truly be the American dream of a man like Andrew? How could I live like this? I didn't fired just to sit in houses. No the game means more. The arrows. The rhythm. When I'm there I am an AnDDRew. Give me the pads.

The storytelling was immersive and fun. It felt like a mix of Up and Flow. The plane was great to fly around and I found myself getting lost in the environment. Music helped a lot!

My only downside was the core mechanic. I struggle with queues so it took me a second to figure out what I needed to do. It felt pretty hard to execute and I wasn't really clear how the plane movement was supposed to combine with the rhythmic elements. I crashed a total of 3 times.

The first song that plays (Circuit Breaker) is a particular favorite pickup of mine from Pixaby. I use it in my other game Hack The Planet: http://kosmaco.net/

Version 0.1.1 is up! If you catch any bugs let me know.

I am aware of a couple of game breaking bugs. Fixing them shortly.
