I got a score of 2720! This was a really cool concept that I enjoyed playing (and looking at) quite a bit. I didn't initially realize that it was ok for your own animal to die, so I the game ended pretty quickly once I ate up all the grass lol. Once I understood the true goals of the game I had quite a bit more success. Nice job!
This one got all of it. Enjoyment, presentation, Concept. Everything is solid. and I can't get enough of it.
really cool game, really enjoyed this one. Could do with a post jam update to balance it a bit as sometimes it felt i failed due to no fault of my own. Other that that a job well done :D
One of my favorite games in the jam! I have a big soft spot for ecosystem based games, and this one was really clever. Loved the room you left for forming strategies. The game is really nicely balanced too. Wonderful visuals. Great game all around!
This was a really neat entry! It was pretty unexpected for the game to be about managing the ego-system instead of staying alive as a particular creature, the different game over conditions are cool! I did find that some of the wild rules are real harsh, only predators and everything sleeps feel really easy for everything to get wiped out. Think my highest score was 820? Liked this one a lot.
Cool game! I enjoyed the mechanics and the art!
Absolutely loved this one! The idea is awesome, the use of the limitation is clear and well-executed, the graphics look great, and it was pretty fun! One of my favorites entries for sure :)
The feel of this game is really nice. I love all the subtle details, like the bouncing sprites and changing backgrounds. The music is fun too. I think you have something here, especially if you continue to add fx and nice presentation details to the game.
Really cool concept and great execution on that concept. Game overall just felt good to play, great vibes and wonderful presentation. This is one of those ideas where I feel like, if you kept pursuing it, you could make a really strong full game out of. The random rules that appear have a huge impact on the gameplay and your strategy which I think is genius.
One small note, and maybe this is just me being bad at the game, but I feel like some rules can really kill your run easily with them lasting 20 turns. Maybe 10 or 15 turns would have been more manageable, but that might also run the risk of being too easy. One example of this tho was no rabbits spawning - within 20 turns it seemed to easily lead to the whole map becoming overgrown with grass.
Aside from little balance tweaks like that, I really have no critiques on this. Just a ton of fun to play and very unique.
The concept is really good. Maybe the balance is a little off, as it's kinda hard to keep the board balanced once rules start rolling in. The music fits really well and the artstyle is cute. The animations and gamefeel are all spot on.
Amazing Game, once I understood the rules It was super enjoyable and the concept is very original and it feels very intentional. This is a game I would play outside of this jam in private. Also the random rules where very well implemented.
Very clever implementation of both the base game mechanics as well as the limitation. I enjoyed the animal sprites. Great job!
Clever, balanced, and super satisfying puzzle loop! The wildlife theme connection made the rules click instantly, and the rule twists kept me constantly rethinking my strategy. Juicy visuals, smooth music — everything just works. Awesome jam entry!
Deceptively simple game, but eventually becomes complicated as you realise you are working to keep everything in balance, rather than to keep your animal alive.
Weird tactics I've had to carry out:
The art and sound were nice, and the game fits very well into the themes of wild and unpredictable rules. Nice job!
