Great concept and I like how you included options to control with either mouse or keyboard. I feel there's a lot of potential but it could do with a bit of polishing, e.g. reset the cursor position when starting a new painting and allowing players to restart a painting. Overall, nice game - good job!
Very nice horror game, I was feeling ready for whatever you'd throw at me and still got me good. Great atmosphere. Others have pointed out the text boxes already, I'd suggest another improvement: Give me some kind of visual feedback if I can interact with something, like an outline when I hover it with the cursor. Overall, solid entry - nice work!
Very fun memory game. I like the variety of cards which definitely supports replayability. Two minor points to improve: Some of the text above the spell effect after finishing is really hard to read (white on light green) and I was confused the game started with the options menu open. Overall, wonderful entry for the jam - nice work!
I enjoyed playing this one. After passing the initial skill check, it's a simple receipe that keeps me coming back for more because I want to explore. Graphics are nice, I liked the colors, and the sound fits very well. One improvement I'd love to see is click to launch so the game can be played mouse-only as well. Very good game - nice work!
Great example of putting a little twist on a well-known concept. I really liked the idea but either my memory sucks or I'm too impatient because I was definitely struggling more than I care to admit. Something I feel could be improved is some of the colors, the red and green felt a little too intense for me and might also be a challenge for players with visual impairments. Overall, very nice game - good job!
Very intriguing concept! Especially given it was made in just four hours, I'd say it's pretty impressive since it's definitely playable and works as a game. I was struggling with the controls a bit and got confused because the mouse turned the arrow while the keyboard controls didn't seem to do that - but rotate the maze instead? Also, moving forward by clicking would have been a great addition to the mouse control. Overall, nice work!
That's a very good work for a first game! There were some graphics issues that created a grey background on the resolution I played it, I'd recommend that you use a fixed screen width and height in Godot and match that in the upload on itch for any future games. Stay the course and keep learning, all the best.
Liked the puzzles with the two worlds to teleport between. The graphics are nice though I wasn't really sure what was what. In general, I felt like purposefully introducing the individual game mechanics one after another to let the player learn your game and then throwing them into challenging puzzles would have made for a better learning curve. Overall, nice work!
Nice idea of being the villain of the game and I thought the character art was great. The atmosphere is nice and with the minimalistic representation of the map with tokens, it definitely nailed the board game vibe. I did feel like moving from room to room by first clicking on the map and then on continue in the corner could have been a lot more straightforward. Overall, nice game and good job!
I think the concept is great and implements the topic very well. Kudos for making it open source. Really liked the core game loop and the way increasing skills revealed more information. I think it's a great foundation for some polishing, especially the balancing: Maxing out one skill was usually enough to be very clear on whether or not I should allow a visitor and with enough points available immediately, there was no real challenge. What threw me off was "neutral" visitor that had only one sentence description for every maxed out sense, I thought that was a curveball and wrongfully denied them. Overall, good work and here's hoping you will continue the project.
Nice take on the theme, the gimmick worked well. It got quite suspenseful when the monster showed up, also supported by clever sound design. I felt like the art style was combining too many different things from neon Tron-like colors to low poly 3D. Maybe less would have been more here. Overall, really nice game - good job!
The art is amazing! I also like the game concept and rogue-like elements, plus the risk/reward-decisions around the shop upgrades as well as the lamp usage. There's a lot going on in the game and I felt like I could spend a lot more time with it to explore. I would have liked some improvements around the controls - movement felt frustratingly slow, even with the upgrade, and hitting enemies felt awkward, especially if they were too close to me. Overall, nice work!
Really liked the game idea and message behind it. The gameplay was intuitive and I liked how you put hints for players to find. I thought the pace was nice and challenging but it's great you thought of adding a control for that. The art is cute and fits the overall vibe. I would enjoy to play an extended version with more rooms and interactions to try. Very nice game, great job!
Took me a moment to grasp what is going on but then I greatly enjoyed the subtle complexity of the game. The minimalistic text-only UI forced me to imagine what is going on. It took me a bit of experimenting to figure out how to balance my ecosystem but it felt like a satisfying learning curve. Towards the end the game things became a little repetitive and convoluted with all the species and attributes to keep track of, therefore would have liked a way to get an earlier ending. Overall, very nice simulation - great job!
Very nice and well-rounded game, the principle is simple and easy to understand. Controls feel intuitive but a little stiff. I like the pixel art but felt that the red was a little overused, especially since once I had the timer running out and it disappeared into a red wall. I would also have liked some smoother animations (not teleporting enemies when stabbing them, some reaction when getting caught). Overall, thought it was a very nice entry for the jam - good job!
In a desperate effort to outrun the nuclear blast, I sprinted East. First, the music stopped. Then, the level stopped. Eventually, the timer stopped...
Great game and I like how the minimalist art style manages to convey all the required information to let the scenario come to life in my head. I was a little confused how to restart after a game over, so I pressed a couple of the keys which seemed to work. Overall, very nice work!
