Amazing art, sound and UX design (I should definitely learn a thing or ten from you in that department). It's interesting how the story kind of leaks in the background as you progress.
The choices felt a bit repetitive after a while. I'd like to see this with a bit more variety and world building, as it has potential.
Thanks a lot!
UX is particularly difficult when you work with two colors. Conveying a button state (normal, selected, hovered, clicked, disabled, checked) is pretty tricky and definitely a good exercise! We still need to add the feedbacks when resources change so it's complete.
Regarding the dialogs and the story, there are only 115 dialog lines for now (and many of them can't repeat). I plan on writing a bunch more next week and I'd like to go further with the story too (only the first chapter is in the game as of now).
Love the stellar atmosphere of the visuals and music.
Very nice game ! The music and art are really great and the concepts and dialogue cools too
Sometimes the cook said things and I only saw the beginning, I ended with "Let " and a lot of blank space so I didn't know what I was agreeing/disagreeing to, also sometimes when it's the system talking without questions and only facts I didn't know what yes or no would to to regard to the situation, it was a bit unclear to me
But I had fun trying to make them distrust me the second time I played
Thank you! We have had this bug too and while we were working on it we discovered an issue that preventing 2/3 of the dialogs from appearing. We are going to update the game later and there will be a lot more content accessible!
And i agree with you that some dialogs are not accessible at all, I'll need to do a pass on all dialogs to make the outcomes clearer.
This looks promising. I really liked the music and the pixel art here. Keep it up like this! I H.O.P.E you can finish the whole game soon ^^
We have found an issue that prevented the story to unfold and most characters to appear, we're making a path later on today. Hope you'll like it!
A game about IA? I'm intrigued to see it finished. I love the aesthetics!
The art and music are beautiful and the gameplay has a nice concept, but it feels a bit unbalanced at the moment. Maybe it's just me but I keep getting several days in a row with no choice menu between them, so I always end up with an "everybody leaves" game over.
Hey, we figured out that there was an issue with events triggered when they shouldn't which triggered negative loops and game overs. The bug is fixed we are going to patch the game ASAP, thanks for your comment!
Edit : the patch is live!
I love the style and I can see the outline of a really engaging experience for players. And I want to say that I'm big fan of throwing players in with very little explanation but if I'm an AI I should be able to know things. If you develop this further I'd suggest having a glossary that players can access if they choose - this will allow you to explain certain concepts and do a small bit of measured worldbuilding.
I also ran into two issues, one may not be legit and the other one may not be a concern for you. One, the game came up with an error when I tried to play from the game page through Firefox but I didn't receive that error in Chrome. Then when I tried playing again in Firefox it worked so if someone runs into that issue you may have to advise them to reload the page. The other issue, which may be intentional, is that after certain
choices nothing comes up. It's blank and then the next question comes when at other times you get some kind of a response. This may be on purpose, but if it's not then a glitch is happening.
BTW, I really liked the music choice here. It REALLY set the mood for being amongst people but not WITH them at the same time. Lonely, but in a crowd, with the repetitive singing that didn't become annoying and instead punctuated the monotony of your role as the AI.
Many many thanks for your message!
I had a blast making the music. I hadn't made music for like 5 years and I'm really happy to see the positive feedback about it!
We have update the game with lots of fixes that should improve vastly the game (including no more blank dialogs). But we investigated your firefox issue without being able to reproduce it.
