Love how the MC calms himself by hand drawing fractal patterns.

I played out a turn on paper and seems pretty cool. Real good bones for something great here.

This was a trip. Really enjoyed it. Very cool.

Love the upgrade system in this. It works into the necromancy theme really well. One recommendation I’ll make though is improving the upgrade feedback. There’s no way of knowing how stats are affected by crafting a new kind of tower. Led to me making some bad upgrades that left towers out of range from where I placed them. Maybe when dragging parts onto the diagram, and before dropping them in, the range indicator and stats could update to show what would happen to it. Really excellent tower defence though. Had a blast playing it.

What an absolute joy to play. Prime puzzling and very well presented.

Absolutely love the vibe of this. Now I want to hear all the songs performed. You’re right that it’s a shame reality manifests corpo-satire as much as it does though. Real torment-nexus behaviour from the technoligarchy.

The setting looks promising and what an ominously spooky plant!

Really enjoyed the gambling ending.

What a strange little delight this is. Crazy. Rad even.

The music, the sound, the voice acting, the visuals, all truly wonderful. Not to mention a proper complete story full of delightful characters. Incredible work.

Couldn’t seem to get the tongs to work but the denting’s pretty cool. I smushed the bar into a tiny golden spec.

I like the chaotic energy of the store decor.

If in the era, and if it had some sound, Slime Boy would of have certainly shipped (across the ocean with a horribly localized game manual). Love the framing you wrote for this on the itch page.

Interesting concept. The cozy farming games have had it too easy for too long!

I didn’t even realize at first that the fingers react based on typing position. There’s so much crunchy feedback response. Fantastic.

Wonderfully gallery. Love Golonak, what a freaky creature.

The combination of soft pads for music with the (currently) empty world really is a vibe, though that may not be intentional. In browser peer to peer multiplayer is also so cool. Would love to do something similar.

Marketable plushy godzilla and the voiceovers are truly wonderful.

Nice, V2 not getting flagged by windows defender anymore. Not much you can do about the itch thing I assume :/

As FNicon noted, your page is quarantined so when you try to download it, there’s a warning popup that hides the download behind a “I understand the risk” dropdown.

It also got quarantined by the windows antivirus when I downloaded it. Throwing it in virustotal doesn’t bring up anything though.

I’d give reuploading the game in a zip packed with a different software / compression level to try and get the false flag to clear ( assuming it’s not a virus :) )

EDIT: I played the game finally and I’ll say its extremely charming. Love the color palettes.

Great shmup! You’re missing the OGA asset credits however.

Well done making this from scratch and with such a tight time frame. Collision’s a little clunky, but I too have been there before making collision systems from scratch.

For those still unable to run the game you can grab the missing dll from here

For those on windows, grab the 64-bit Windows binaries zip and just place the glfw3.dll file from one of the lib-* folders into the game folder next to sybionts_beta_4.exe. On Linux you can probably install the required files on your system via your package manager.

Thought I ran into a bug where shaded dirt tiles couldn’t have fungi placed on them but could have flora. Realized that’s intentional after watching the solution. Could perhaps be more clear on that in the tile descriptions on the page.

Otherwise, beautiful and engaging puzzler.

I love the idea here. Really elegant and fun gameplay.

Heads up that your asset links are all pointing to your music despite the text being correct and everything is listed with “tiles author”. Great stuff, visuals are wonderful!

That rush to find the last cat in a wave of spawns gives me anxiety!

Hey, they are there in a spoiler just gotta click on “Assets”. I’ll put them straight in the page if that’s preferable was just trying to cut down the page length.

Windows 10 using Firefox 139.0.1 (64-bit)

No extensions enabled

Here’s what the title screen looks like

There’s definitely some trickiness to progressing not too fast or too slow so the game doesn’t freeze but managed to get through it. The silver lining of the digital age is that piracy is so accessible. If ever our things get taken from us, we can usually just steal them back.

Perfectly captures the mechanisms of capitalistic infinite growth with the upgrades. The news ticker is also a great read. Didn’t seem to work for me on firefox, the text doesn’t appear and all the graphics come out blocky. Strange since it even works fine on my phone.

Utterly oppressive atmosphere balanced brilliantly with the diabolically comedic break area. I love that the gameplay compelled me to not even bother walking over to it later on. It’s as if it was just a spectacle to admire from a distance and that my broken non-quota meeting body wasn’t worthy of its pitiful restfulness.

Love the giant swirling supervillain landlord and the chaotic Escherian board. Also appreciate the balance in gameplay trying to race through on the early round to then try and land more tiles in the later one.

Should be the standard issue replacement for any whac-a-mole game. What did the cute little moles ever do.

Being so vain as to not even provide a choice for the hair transplant is hilarious. It’s wild that there’s so much material to pull from as inspiration for all the prompts.

Yet another W I didn’t know about for french protest culture. Great game, takes me back to tower defense flash classics.

Love the stellar atmosphere of the visuals and music.

Really enjoyed the gameplay and visuals. Aiming is rough, could have probably used a crosshair. Liked that the MSI ending was a nice challenge without being able to use the shops. Great stuff.

Just happened to me when interacting with the pepper sprayer multiple times.

Very cyberpunk and visually marvellous!

Forced some friends to play it with me and we had a great time.
