I really like how the obstacles spawn and become visible when you get close enough. I’m wondering how its done. Is it multiple maps you made beforehand that keep spawning over and over? Or is it procedurally generated? I thought the gameplay was very good. I think an actual jump animation or coded jump would add a lot to it though. Also, this may be just personal preference, but I would switch the turbo and jump button. It feels very odd to do when so many other games do it the opposite. Maybe some different obstacles besides jumpable and not jumpable would be good too. An obstacle that you can go under is an easy one to implement in the way you have set up. It could just be an upside down U shaped structure. Ur game was very fun!

This was a very fun game. The core gameplay is simple but also kind of hypnotic. I very much enjoyed it, and I appreciated the infinite survival mode. The atmosphere is also very good. That being said, I did run into a few glitches when moving too fast horizontally. Sometimes the player would stand still for a second or two. I was also able to get outside the map where no obstacles could get me, and so I tried to go for the world record in survival. I was able to get 6000 AU and I had a lot of fun.

I enjoyed this game, and I really like that you included an endless mode. I think my biggest criticism is that the game is too easy, with not a lot of obstacles would actually spawn in my path most of the time. Maybe limiting the amount of horizontal space the player can use would help. I also really enjoy the visuals for the game.

I like the space background and the clear grid floor, it reminds me of SSB Melee and Kirby Air Ride.

Gameplay-wise, swerving around feels more fun than the optimal gameplay of sitting in one spot and dodging obstacles occasionally.
The instant jump fits the style of game I think, but it moving the camera as well feels a bit jarring.

The collision with the edges of the map is odd, I got stuck only able to move sideways when I hit it, and then got sent out of bounds after, barreling forward with no obstacles.

Still enjoyed it :)

I heavily enjoy endless runner type games that this is emulating like Temple Run or JetPack Joyride, just keep on going while avoiding obstacles. The concept and premise itself are fun but in my honest opinion the gameplay is a little lacking and almost too easy. Despite the elevating speeds in each level I found myself being able to stay in the relative same position the whole time and just barely press the A and D keys to avoid the obstacles and I never felt inclined to jump or do the speed boost, I also don't know if it was my own perception of how fast the ship was going or if it wasn't working but when I pressed the up arrow to dp the speed boost i never felt like the ship went any faster

However I love the environment and the little spaceship as well as the grid layout beneath it. If I were to recommend any changes maybe up the speeds more in subsequent levels to increase the challenge or add more variety in obstacles to encourage constant movement to survive as well as encourage the player to actually use the jump mechanic

It was a nice game that could have potential if more was added to it. Currently the only flaw I found was going all the way to the left or right but other then that, it seems to work as intended. The music and sound effects help add to the game and its theme. I found very little use for the jump but it still can be used in a pinch. Adding in different towers and colors is another thing the game would be able to benefit from. Overall the game was enjoyable with the options to do levels and an infinite mode. Great Job!

Ah, sick concept. I've def played some older games that had this kind of thing going on, maybe Lawnmower man on the SNES is the first I can think of. I think it's a great start for something that could be really fun. Here are some suggestions if you move forward with this one:

- Powerups/Collectibles or money scattered about - maybe even a dash ability you can unlock or something

- Perhaps some moving obstacles with different colors

- UI feedback for how far you've gone (maybe it is there, but I have ultrawide monitor so could be getting cut off?)

Anyways, I had fun, and did you compose the music yourself? Nice stuff.

This game was pretty interesting!
I love the addition of music, even if simple, and the inclusion of a infinite freeplay mode was pretty cool.

However, I did encounter some bugs:

-Holding the Up Arrow can cause the camera to occasionally glitch out.

-Going too far left/right can cause the ship to stutter and freeze. This also reveals a noticeable edge where ground/obstacles no longer generates.

Overall a decent game!

User can move all the way left or right to escape the grid and bypass obstacles. One suggestion would be to use different color obstacles for each level to differentiate them. I think this is a great prototype that offers plenty of replay ability. Could add a lot to this game like power ups of invincibility, slow down time, speed up player. Could also add different environments as worlds for progression.
