Game Description
A Foddian Short-Hike-Alike about climbing a windy mountain by candlelight.

How does your game tie into the theme?
The central mechanic is focused on blocking chaotic winds to, in turn, control the chaos of your flickering flame. The games theming and writing also evokes ideas of chaos and control through literary, political, and philosophical homage and absurdism.

This is one of my favourite entries I've played for a game jam, I really love the aesthetics and soundtrack (though the speech sfx were a little grating for me). I kept having this foreboding feeling while walking backward up the path that there would be something spooky ahead. Would love to see a full game for this. :)

Absolutely love this style, this game is gorgeous to look at. It is such a mood! But I love how you mixed this sorta eerie spooky vibe with humor and beauty. Super cool experience all around!

This was really good! Really nailed the feel and the atmosphere, very creepy! Also had a hard time keeping the candle lit, but liked that I could still explore despite that.

Absolutely in love with the vibes and aesthetic in this one. I had such a great time exploring the island and talking to the NPCs. I'll admit though that I found it *impossible* to keep the candle lit, but thankfully I got to watch a stream where they were a lot more successful than I.

**EDIT** Forgot to mention the incredible NPCs and dialogue: 10/10

Good mechanic, super challenging.  Reminded me of Tomb Raider ;-) in style

What a wild experience, so much fun! I had some assets disappear for me near the end of the game, but at this point, I'm not sure whether to just assume it was all intentional or not... Really great choice on the shaders and speech audio too, super fun.

Definitely one of the strongest entries. The graphics style and dialogue suggests a genuinely interesting artist at work.

Loved the overall vibe and weirdness of this game! It's cool to see a foddian style game that isn't about jumping up a huge tower. I really appreciated all the checkpoints, made it so the game wasn't crazy frustrating when your candle burned out. Great work on the game I enjoyed my playthru!

Thanks so much for playing!! I agree, there's so much more to what makes a game Foddian than its capacity to induce rage. Foddy has a doctorate in philosophy!

Great vibe and good idea for a game! Music was super fitting and the graphics and art were sweet! However, I did get stuck often enough, and not being able to restart easily made things a bit more frustrating than the standard foddians haha. Good work overall!

Thanks so much for playing. Ya, the game is still, at times, frustrating for the wrong reasons. But I think there might be enough there that I'll polish it up post-jam. Thanks again for playing, and for the feedback!

yeah! also the core mechanic was a unique and interesting thing to experience! It was frustrating at times but in a rewarding way! I found myself addicted to figuring it out and once I got the hang of it, it was much smoother.
