Game Description
Guide the Flockstorm to their goal while they avoid obstacles and yourself!

How does your game tie into the theme?
The Flockstorm travel away from any obstacles, but are fragile. You need to guide them to the goal while managing their pathfinding and fragility. Its controlled chaos due to needing to control the chaotic Flockstorm to beat the levels!

Nice work! It was definitely a little funky figuring out how it all worked but having the boids and the player affected by attract/repel was really neat. Also impressed by the variety of mechanics, I can easily imagine this being expanded a lot with just a few more. I appreciated the warnings and configurable controls too, keep it up!

Enjoyed the flocking mechanics, fairly difficult to get them what you wanted to do though (I suppose this is the challenge, but I struggled here to guide them consistently). Platforming aspect felt good, nice work!

I struggled to figure out what I was doing with this one, but I thought the overall presentation and concept were very cool.

The colors were wild, it started to trip my eyes out after a bit, but I liked it. Entrancing! Controls felt good. Cool concept and submission!

When the theme for this GWJ got revealed I was hoping someone would do boids (my take on boids was last jam) so that I could compare - gotta say yours feel a lot more snappy to control than mine ever did. For what it's worth I didn't find the colors too overwhelming (though after the warning I did elect not to maximize the window like I'd usually do, so that might be a factor). I appreciate the inclusion of a tutorial (one that managed to be useful despite Show Don't Tell wildcard, even!), and while the game's on the short side you managed to get a decent bit of variety in there. Small note - the game seems to skip past the title screen as soon as its done loading?

Oh, and +1 for the menu background attract mode :]

I'm very happy that somebody noticed boids :)

I also really liked your entry!

Man, I do have to say my eyesight was unable to handle it :(

I have naturally bad eyes and your warning was fair, haha. I was unable to continue playing :(

I loved the way the ball moved though, I wanted to get more of a hang of the controllers but well.

Send me a easy-for-eyes-version and I'd love to give it a go again !

in hindsight a less vibrant option should have been added. We only added the warning at the last minute while finalizing the game, so apologies about that.

What part specifically was too bad on the eyes. I may make a less vibrant version, though it would probably release after the jam is over since idk if it would break any rules.

It was hard to pinpoint, it was maybe the mix between the vibrant thing + the colors changing. Maybe I'm one on a million but it gave me a mini-headache !

You'll share me the toned down version after the jam's over!

The game is very unique  and the controls were fine and the colors were great too

I stopped using the a/d for movement since it was slower than clicking. Only thing I would maybe consider (though it would change the game play a lot) is a non clicked wall jum.
Fun concept and very unique compared to a lot of the other games I've played.

The click control for both the and the ball is a clever mechanic! The neon aesthetic set a distinct vibe for the game. Very nice!

Out of the herding games in the jam, this is one of the more inventive ones. There's a good mix between trusting the triangles' pathfinding and knowing when you have to guide them along, though sometimes it was a bit unpredictable. I found myself using the pull ability much more for the triangles and the push ability to move my character, I seldom navigated using A/D/Space since it was slower. The prominent progress bar over top of the character might be better suited above the end goal. My favorite interaction was being close enough to herd the Flockstorm but not so close that I would shatter them with my player, it's where the game shines and level 3 really takes advantage of it.

Loved the looks and the mechanics! Original concept and very nice implementation. I would love some brain melting acidic music as well to rock on to)

Excellent use of the theme and wildcards! The concept is very original and challenging. I think it would have been much more fun if the concepts were introduced more slowly to introduce the player to key concepts. I like the way you let the player discover the gameplay, but I think it would have worked better by doing very simple puzzles and go from there. Similar to the way the Witness does a literal straight line for the first puzzle and then player concepts as they go. The accessibility warning was good because the look of the game is very intense.
