Fantastic game!!

I did find that the camera glitched a  little if I was always pressing the accelerator but it wasn't a huge problem. Very fun  to see things go flying and the night cycle added that bit of extra challenge!

Thanks! Btw: W is not the accelerator. You can only go left and right. I left W and S in the game to balance the artifact. The camera doesn't glitch, you are being sent back to position 0,0 so it looks like this. PS. I don't know if a lot of you know this, but you can jump with space-bar.

This is great, I love that you added a day/night cycle although I feel it is a bit abrupt.

I tried to do some games when I was 12 too, but they were waayyyy crappier and I stopped trying... Good job, you have talent! 💪

Very impressive for just a week, and really cool to see that you’re able to do this much at 12! I was so busy playing games at that age that I don’t think I could’ve even imagined programming anything at that point xD

I had a lot of fun with this one. I think my favorite moment was having a bit of a collision with a bus that sent my truck (and the artifact) flying into the air, only to somehow land in just the right position to catch the artifact. I was so shocked that I lost focus and immediately ran into a barrel!

I think all the other commenters have mentioned the bugs or suggestions that I would have made, so I’ll keep it short here and just say: Keep it up! I look forward to seeing what you make in the future :D

Really good game, especially for a one week game jam and for a self-taught youngster like you

The game looks great ! The music however is too loud initially but you can adjust it at any time in the settings so it’s okay, I like the camera shake effect when moving left or right, however I find the shaking that happens when accelerating or decelerating a bit jarring The day/night cycle is a bit abrupt in my opinion but it works great nonetheless

Great game overall, keep up the work champ you’re gonna getbig you can do it !

Very impressive entry, especially considering your age! I had some problems with speeding up / slowing down causing a visual jittering, but apart from that it was a fun little experience! Keep it up, Grüße aus Deutschland :)

Yes, the visual jittering is intentional, because it prevents players from speeding up and falling off the world.

This is fun! And such an interesting combo of music and visuals :)

Good implementation of the theme and special object. The game is really fun. In this game, predictive driving is a must. Nice work.

Very nice take on the "Temple Run" vibe.  I especially enjoying reaching a high speed and then get flanged in the air after crushing into something.

its a good game and i must say better than mine in a few terms

This game is visually impressive. I love how the speed ramps up too, and is clearly shown by a number increasing at the bottom corner. The decorated cone which moves around is a great touch. There are amazing sounds too, the screeching tyres and police sirens—really pull you in. Even though the police aren’t visible, you still feel like you are being chased. Crashing feels dramatic with the screen turning a semi-transparent red, it made me feel disorientated with the camera angle changing as the vehicle tips over which is actually really cool and seemed to happen every time. I did notice the screen stutters when using up or down when i tried to speed up and brake, so I stuck to moving left and right, and it was super fun. I did notice probably due to time constraints, the game jumps straight into the action, which works, but a short intro or story would definitely add some nice context. Overall, it’s a very well made game with lots of attention to detail.
