I think you nailed it with the theme. Most of us ended up doing something around "cones" and ignoring "roads", when the theme clearly was roads.

In the first level I thought I had to add a cone no matter what, until I figured out that you can leave it and the cars will start appearing automatically. I would appreaciate an indicator that the game has "started" and also a speedup option.

Good job!!

Thanks for checking it! I wish I added more shortcuts, it seems people liked them :P

Thank you!! :)

Omg I just went straight to try adding the collision in the camera object as you suggested and it indeed works 🤦welp now I know it for the next time, thanks!!

I appreciate your time to check this and the feedback!

Love the aesthetics and the idea you came up with!

I'm glad you uploaded the Windows build, the web one didn't work for me either 🙏

This is great, I love that you added a day/night cycle although I feel it is a bit abrupt.

I tried to do some games when I was 12 too, but they were waayyyy crappier and I stopped trying... Good job, you have talent! 💪

The music gets me back to the hours I spent playing Smash Bros choosing Corneria just for the soundtrack xD

I don't know if the collisions just bugged for me but: I could not die, I let the cones get to me but the Lifes didn't decrease...

I liked the day/night cycle. Keep it up man!

Good job! I didn't read the instructions and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the ghost of my previous attempt :)

Also, I noticed there is a tiny bug: if you run over a cone that you had previously ran over, it doesn't add the +1s penalty.

This is just amazing, nothing else to add that the other comments didn't. I think once the jam is over and you fix the placing/removing cones issue, you could even export it for Android and attract more attention!

Btw I specially love that the volume sliders are just there without the need for a pause menu

The camera haunted me from the very beginning xD I should've just used shorter buildings...

Thanks, I appreciate you guys' time to check it out and leave feedback :)

Thank you!! :D

Thanks for checking it! Yeah I should've asked some friends for a bit of testing because I always was braking with the space bar and it felt good (enough) for me, but I see that slowing down with S doesn't do too much :S

Nice aesthetics and theme implementation, but I easily get hardstuck because I don't have enough money to keep hiring workers :(

Nice little scary game, the ambience is very well crafted! It was a great feeling when it got back to the road split and chose the other path xD

The intro video was great! Also having different effects on the cones was a nice touch, I wish I knew what the green cone did before picking it up xD

Good job, keep it up!

(1 edit)

The art is just amazing. That and the suttle horse steps sound was enough to make me want to keep playing. It reminded of "Reigns", a game I used to play a lot.

It was intense because I was constantly struggling with 1 Stew, and when I reached day 8 I got 9 stews but then I lost because I ran out of carrots since I was not paying attention to them xD

Ignoring the resolution and music loop bugs, you did a great job. Looking forward to see what you build next using Godot! (this jam was my first game with Godot too)

It reminds me of these difficult games like "Only Up".

It's fun and I found myself trying to improve my score, but I wished the music didn't restart because I kept crashing when the beat starts XD

Ah and the camera does weird things when you click the screen or press Space fyi.

Good job!

Kudos on how you managed to integrate the tutorial! The art style is great and the music is fitting. I (purposedly, of course :P) made two cars crash and that interaction was fun.

As other people said, I found that it became a bit overwhelming pretty quick, but at least you get some HP back when a car reaches their destination.

It's a very well-rounded game. Congrats!!

Nice implementation of the particles! Also, I appreciate the volume sliders, specially now that I found it was quite tricky to implement in my game.

At first I thought that I had to collect all cones, but I kept running into them XD
