There’s idea, we can clearly see that it’s a pre-alpha version yeah but even with the small amount we have we can see the inspiration, there is just to keep showing that inspiration with a little more features
To be able to look up and down, even if it would have been with the mouse wheel, would have been cool but no biggie
I like the fact that you can also move with the arrow keys, that simplifies things for people that don’t have a QWERTY keyboard Plus the toggleable map is a great addition, I like the idea plus it is something important in the last two GTAs at least so keep it up ;]
And also, to avoid the player looking janky when going into houses use Rigidbody movements instead of Transform, it’ll be a bit harder to achieve the same results but also allow for more possibilities all the while handling physics calculations like collisions and gravity for you (so it will simply not try to go into the house, remember to lock the Rotation Y axis of the Rigidbody in the inspector to avoid the player rotating like a Beyblade top and moving hazardly lol)
I liked the characters that make a sound when you click on them I also liked the different backgrounds, this is a good idea to add personalisation to your game
I would’ve liked more musics, having more than 1 (at least 5 to avoid too much repetition) would be more enjoyable
What I didn’t quite like however was that
- The prices go up too rapidly for Bonuses (as well as for pickaxes after a certain time, when everything or almost everything is higher than $1M)
- The Bonuses are way too weak compared to the Pickaxes, they’re as of right now in April 29 of 2025 not that much useful compared to how much they cost
I liked the game overall; great idea, not bad execution I’m hyped to see how it goes ;]
I unzipped zipped zipped unzipped the zipped unzipped zipped file and OH MA GAWD the game is great
For real, this is one of the best Minecraft clone I have tested so far, even though it only has 1 type of terrain and 4 blocks
All the other ones so far don’t have procedural generation like you game does, they don’t have TNT or anything the likes of it, they don’t have the ability to fly, let alone to crouch, and I particularly like being able to see chunk borders but that is just something I like as a developer myself; seeing info everywhere on the screen is kinda addictive lol
I wish you could sprint though, but aside from that, except maybe for the ability to change controls in a menu, it’s quite good !
Great job, you have great potential ;]
I like it ! Good job
I like the style, the game is cute
I particularly like how the cube rotates when moving I think restarting the level when losing all your lives and restarting the whole game only when respawning 2 or 3 times in the same level instead of always restarting the whole game whenever you lose all your lives would improve the experience That or having more lives, 5 is a good number imo (more would be too much and less than the actual amount would be frustrating)
I also like the timer in each level, it automatically makes me want to speedrun lol
Overall I like it, GG, continue like that you have my support ;]
Yes now that you say it it reminds me of Corneria in too XD
Yeah the collisions are janky at most, but from my tests right before submitting (I was already late) it didn’t work either unfortunately
Glad you liked the day/night cycle :]
In a separate build I’ll work on that, and add a score counter Just that, the score alone, would make the experience 10x better an,d I honestly should have added that instead of the life system at the end as the game is infinite and it would have made more of an incentive to play
With pleasure !
I played in Firefox, and truth to be told I didn’t check my money amount before trying to add cones, but I remember having enough to place one (more than $100) and it not working, and for the cone removal I didn’t test it like that so I can’t tell you much about it
I had fun regardless and I can’t wait for the new update where you changed some things up ;] I’ll make updates to my game too during the week so as to at least have a version of it with everything that I intended for the game jam but couldn’t add because of time and unrelated issues :]
I fricking love it !
It’s quite an original take on the theme, with a more philosophical approach to the Road theme rather than the usual, more straightforward and first idea that can come to mind The game is really relaxing, the only downside is that sometimes the Continue button’s hitbox isn’t properly set or detected, but the art omg
The art is beautiful, and having done so much for a on week game jam is truly impressive Good job
Very good idea, I liked it The frog on a Vespa is funny and mad eme chuckle haha
Having to escape the world destruction made me think of Temple Run, however here with a Vespa and multiple paths Also being able to collect (eat if I may say so) various little blobs of light to get points makes the gameplay more fun
I didn’t play enough (or isn’ good enough at the game lol) to get to the powerup, but it sounds like a good idea
Also for the SFX slider a good practice is to play a sound at the same time as you press, move or release (your choice) the slider button so that we can hear exactly at whoch volume the SFX sounds are
Keep it up
Really good game, especially for a one week game jam and for a self-taught youngster like you
The game looks great ! The music however is too loud initially but you can adjust it at any time in the settings so it’s okay, I like the camera shake effect when moving left or right, however I find the shaking that happens when accelerating or decelerating a bit jarring The day/night cycle is a bit abrupt in my opinion but it works great nonetheless
Great game overall, keep up the work champ you’re gonna getbig you can do it !
The Grand Theft Auto insipration is clearly there, you can very well recognise the map layout and setting as being just as in the first 2 games, but this time in 3D
The gameplay feels great and responsive, just the braking that is too slow imo : you always end up crashing into the cars of the cone site if going full speed, and the camera goes into the buildings so sometimes it ain’t as easy to know where you are and especially where you’re going, but great game nonetheless
Good idea, I liked it, yeah having different cones with various effects is a nice touch
Plus the artstyle especially for the intro video, as well as, well, having an intro video (which was funny btw), is quite good imo I liked the anime-style plus it looking both kind of messy and polished at the same time, I liked it
Also sorry in case I sound rude, it is not my intent in the least, English is not my first language
Keep up the work fam
Good idea a Connect 4 with the cone, especially the game title as a pun my little cousin and I liked it
He and I played quite a few games actually, it’s a simple concept but, as King_Kai258 said, it is effective !
However there is a bug when a column is completely filled : we can move past it only when going to the right but not when going to the left, aside fromp that it’s good, good job
This game is so addictive lol I loved playing it
I think if we moved a liittle bit faster it would be better, easier to play, that or I simply suck lol
Also the view with left click + mouse hover is a little strange to me so I simply didn’t always look exactly where I was going, but fun concept though
The music tho, too loud imo but so great to listen
Throwing cones to a goblin to kill it, especially as a police officer, was quite fun Making cars fly was also fun, I like the cute, blocky style and the slight motion blur effect However protecting doesn’t always work : I took damage with my wall/shield on before taking the goblin’s stick in the face
Nice whales
This is a Flappy Bird clone I made a couple years ago in the C programming language along with the CSFML binding of the SFML library
It was fun to make, and I'll update it to add more features !
Hope you'll enjoy !
