i really enjoyed how the middle portion of the track carried so much momentum; the choice of instrumentation is spot on for your videogame concept and what inspired you! the section starting at 1:43 particularly captivated me. :D
the introductory and ending passages of the overall track were nice! the introduction in particular reminds me a lot of how Super Mario games would have introductory fanfares for their levels (which A Hat in Time also does). nicely composed and arranged, overall!!
Interesting take on the theme, really unique!
Oh, there is some neat orchestration in this. Good understanding of each section and keeping them appropriately busy where needed. Very gradual introduction of elements as the track progresses, taking until the near half-way mark before we start really busying up the spectrum. Some really good use of articulation to provide some flair to the playing and keep things interesting and engaging. The ending lapsing to piano is nice, feeling a little more typical in how it wants to round out.
Solid work as a whole, and great understanding of orchestral scoring as I mentioned before. The main theme is my favorite of the three and definitely the most developed. Good work!
Ha! I liked the classical take on this and felt the album art perfectly matched the music. Good work.
The French revolution is such a great idea what. Now I'm surprised I haven't heard any trucker American music with like eagles and guns and rock 'n roll lol. This is solid though, the orchestration definitely feels like it's scoring some kind of military media, I'd see these right at home in one of those political war simulator games like Hearts of Iron (I've never played the game). Good stuff!
Thanks ! To be honest my first idea was more american and comics oriented, like the theme of superman or allmight ^^’
Quite lovely.
Intro - triumphant and staight to the point, could be used when entering/loading the game. The flute pedal tone sounds cool imo.
Main theme - sounds like something for a strategic game, I like its vibe! On the other hand, I'd suggest making the drums a little bit louder, that would definitely upgrade the track and give it some more charm. As for the main leitmotif, it is catchy and memorable, so good job with that.
Ending - sounds like closure, so you did that well. The main melody's reprise sounds nostalgic, like we've went through a complete journey and have reached a satisfying final, it felt nice.
Overall: melodies are cool, ideas seem nice, yet mixing and balancing the sounds would elevate your music even higher. Good job!
What a unique way to interpret this WOW! this track really does sound like what you went for !
I do feel like the first two tracks end a little abruptly.
Nice work!! Really fun stuff here, some nice traditional chord progressions and great chromatic voice leading! I would just work on balancing the elements! When a lot of things are happening in the score it gets a little muddy! Great work!
This is an interpretation that makes so much sense but i didn't think a traditional military march still would show up in this Jam. Cool idea and decent execution, I would definantly look towards trying different ways of incorporating harmony in your music the orchestration of the harmony is fairly repetitive throughout (I definitely struggle with this as well). Good work :)
Another Ableton user!! I love the way you used the various different instruments, they work together to create a very march-like environment! I'm also a huge fan of the emotional section at the end!! Great job! :)
The military march theming is a really interesting way to interpret the theme and I like it!
The flute is absolutely perfect! fits the post battle vibe to a T! I especially liked that it didn't overstay its welcome and acted as fill rather than the melody.
