This is such a lovely thing to say, thank you ;_;

I actually kinda get Oddworld vibes from this, especially the first track. Neat textures!

Man this is some top tier stuff, like if you're not already writing for real games, you absolutely have the talent to do so. The production is so clean

Man I have a lot to learn from the way you set up your drums, so good!

I got sort of cyberpunk Jason Bourne vibes from this, really cool track!

Big Ace Attorney vibes with Stand for Justice, like cyber-Phoenix Wright. Great use of synths!

this ROCKS, I love this so much!! It's mixed so well too, I always struggle mixing the harsh sounds of chiptune/synths and heavy metal guitars, so I'm mega impressed. Big Shovel Knight vibes, but I could totally see this as a PS1 game too. Man there's so much to dissect with this one, fantastic work!

really enjoyed the mini journey this track took me on!! Fantastic work, the composition and mixing is so well done!

I adore the muted trumpet/sax in Sunset, Sunrise, give it such a resolute but melancholy feel. Great choice. Also hearing the main theme turned into something hopeful was really neat too! I do wish the clock ticking was a little bit quieter as it sort of takes over the piece in Dream of Dreams, but it was a pretty clever idea for what it represents in game

Loved the manic feel to it, really emphasises the protag's lack of control over what he's creating

Catchy! Great job creating such a well contrasted set of tracks!

MAN I loved when the drum and bass kicked in, what an awesome track. Super clean sounding too!

I enjoyed these tracks a lot! The end of At Last with the piano getting wilder and wilder made such a cool sound, like you almost leaned into the fact it was a midi, vs the other tracks that used more of the piano sound. Neat contrast!!

Sorry I didn't mean to cause offence!! I meant weird as in unique and funky - I find myself getting stuck in the same type of music/chord sequences/ sounds etc, so hearing something so different from what I usually do is genuinely inspiring! I have a lot to learn from your sound choice and production skills!

So much going on, so subtle and quiet, your mixing is brilliant!!

Amazing creativity!!! I love that you made your own instrument too, wow!!!

Actually unreal amounts of effort put in for this one, for the music and the actual game concept. Unbelievable work!

The soundbite of Louis saying "Peter" sent me for a loop omg. Really loved all the different effects and sounds going on at once, such cool tracks!

Loved the game idea, super unique! The automation bringing out all the different parts of the track as you walk through the club was super cool, really subtle and seamless

Really moving pieces!! Really liked your choice of chord progression. You also managed to get a really really nice sound out of the midi strings. When the strings swelled at around 1:50 on the second track I got goosebumps, fantastic work!

Neat compositions, I think you nailed the style you were going for! Big DK Country vibes, especially from the later tracks

Really really liked this, I think the rock guitar is maybe a bit too loud and drowned out the beat you had going, but the rest was really boppy and catchy!

I enjoyed the more experimental stuff!! Cool contrast to the other tracks that follow more traditional composition structures

This feels like walking into a pre-established world, so I could see this working for the type of game you were writing for!

After Hours slaps, I was immediately drawn in just from the drums, then the piano and droning bass kicked in and I was hooked. It's the sort of main theme where I'd just sit with the game on without playing to listen to. Uncertain has a great vibe and energy to it too, very Persona 5 reminiscent. Also overall a really neat take on the theme; fading light shining into empty places that are usually thrumming with life has a unique liminal feel to it, your swelling and pausing/stop-starting melodies and instrument choices capture this so so well.

Big melancholy vibes, I would've loved to see where you'd take this with more time!

I really liked when the guitar and tinkles kicked in during the main theme, gave it a bit of a funky vibe. Village Echoes was great right off the bat, the echo-y piano was a great bassline. The tinkles are maybe a bit too loud or could benefit from a slight bit compression just to take the top edge off. The marimba sound in Rock Paths gave it such a Zelda feel. Great sort of upbeat blues styling to all the tracks! Overall I could absolutely see this as an indie game OST, stellar work!

I could totally see this playing over some sort of mega drive shmup, great work

This is really weird and I love it, weird instrumentation and the lyrics add such a cool groove to the track. Fantastic work, I dig this so much

I liked this a lot! the position of the instruments was really well done, and it was really well written too!

Drums were a little too loud for me, though I did like the switch up in tone a lot! Just feel like it blocked out a lot of the other instruments

Loved the way this was put together! You managed to get a really cool sound out of just straight midi instruments, felt very ds era. Honestly mixed really well so that none of the instruments are tiring to listen to. Great work!!

Your melodies are so sweet, each section was distinct but still fit the track as a whole. The overlapping piano trills were really lovely, great work!

The drums are so chunky, I love it. I can always appreciate the talent it takes to make noise into music, great work!

Really enjoyed when the guitar came in, was a refreshing kick to the track, can definitely feel the two parts of "freedom" you were going for.

Really sweet upbeat track! The melodies were very charming, I can imagine the aesthetic of the game just from your track.

Really nice ethereal vibes to this, very floaty, perfect for the game you were writing for. The textures are super interesting too, so much to listen to but it's mixed really really well

The key changes were really cool! The hurdy gurdy added a really interesting flare to the whole of the track, like the track itself changes as you fly over different biomes. The main melody has a really catchiness to it too, perfect for a main theme! Great work!

(1 edit)

Loved this so much, absolutely heart wrenching in all the right places. I do agree that the bass drum does drown things out when used in quick succession, but everything else was really nicely mixed.  This reminds me of Andvari  by Sigur Ros
