I love the off kilter feeling in track 2 adds to the brutality of storm. Great work :)

very fun, It gets your point across of traveling in a post apocalyptic place. The only thing I might point out is have an extra section with more change compared to what you started with to give a bit of contrast, for right now its just all ambienty (which is awesome and I love it) but if you were looking for a direction to take it further thats what I would do. awesome work :)

This was awesome, I could imagine hearing this in a game like nine sols or hollow knight. great story telling and composition sounds like you know your counterpoint aswell, verry cool. Great work :)

I like the choices you made for instrumentation, that worked out well. One thing I would critique is your voiceleading in the string harmonies, the harmony itself is good but because of the meh voiceleading it creates a very jarring feeling moving from one chord to the next(which could be intentional but I don't think this was your intention). other than that I love the overall idea you have with your track and I like your lil melody you bring throughout it, Good work :)

Good stuff I like the groove you built with the percussion as it went on :)

I love the bell at the beginning, very simple but very effective. I really like what you made, just wish there was more. Great work :)

the music was cool and thematic to the story you wrote out which was very nice. One thing I would point out is you let things repeat out for minutes at a time without too much change or variation going and and then that cool music kinda feel more like white noise after a bit. Other than that I really like the concept you were working with and even if you thought about it as sand it still 100% fits the many aspects of theme awesome work :)

very cool stuff, it was very nice to listen to. I know like you said you didn't have much time but with some more time spent on working with the MIDI automation and velocities this could be brought from good to really good very quickly. Other than that, great stuff and i like the ideas you were leaning into great work :)

I really love that you went with Chiptune for this, props on that. one thing I would point out is that there is a lot going on in your low end which is making that harmony a bit muddy but other than that props to you it was fun to listen to Great Work :)

awesome texture using the the choir in the background with string arp and the synths for the melodic material. well done :)

The footstep being apart of time is a really nice detail that I think was done really well. there's a part that where I think im hearing a clock ticking which gives me the feeling of time might be running out to make it home to his queen, Idk if that was intentional just a fun observation. I love the atmosphere you created Great work :)

This is a great atmosphere, fun sound design was nice to help with the overall texture of the music(thanks Ty). one thing is it feels too ambient or musically stagnant for me to really connect to the story you are trying to tell. other than that I love what you have Great work :)

7/4 IS EVIL . Lol, I love the direction you went with this very cool use of all the changes in the harmony and texture, your harmonic changes were very effective at telling the story you've written out. this is awesome Great work:))) also I love the intrumentation you used to represent your characters :)

I love the energy this music has, I 100% feel like I am blazing through the snow. one comment I have would be to spend some time on the mixing side of things, I could be wrong, but throughout your track I can hear it clipping can be very jarring for a listener. other than that Great work :)

I love the overall feeling from this music I feel like a little ghost exploring through spooky forest. very ambient Great work :)

This is amazing, I can imagine a triple A title with this music. something like horizon zero dawn, I aspire to have the skill you have Great Work :)

this is some cool stuff, keep up the good work :)

Awesome stuff I like the musical ideas you have, they just seem to feel very disconnected to each other throughout all your tracks. overtime I start to lose the sense of how each idea relates to another. other than that these were fun to listen to

I like how you used the brass throughout. Good work keep it up :)

awesome stuff definitely unexpected. Good work :)

holy shit that was awesome, Best track from this jam I've listened to so far. absolutely amazing!!!!

feels like im in space exploring a haunted spaceship, awesome work :)

I like the structure of this, sounds nice good work :)

nice sounds, very creative approach to the orchestration, could use some more harmonic movement other than that good work :)

wow, some really fun sounds in here throughout, I 100% get a really solid impression of what you're doing in this music Good work :)

cool sound, it does feel like you improvd stuff in on a MIDI controller and then just quantized it. Improv stuff in isn't bad but you didn't really seem to go into it much and make a structure or any themes out of what you improvd in and it feel very constantly random and disconnected because of that. I like the idea and direction you're going in and playing stuff in is an awesome way to get stuff down it just needs some more editing after that step. Good work :)

cool stuff good work keep it up :)

story tell through color is really nice, using that low end of the piano and the really high end together really show that literally because of the space between the notes are so wide that they've abandoned each other. Then the 3rd track has the more closed voicings which tell us we're no longer abandoned. Good work :)

I was messing with the Db11 for fun and my favorite voicing for your situation rn is actually leaving the violin 1 on the Gb and bringing the violin 2 down to the 9th of the chord Eb, it still has all that color of a 11th chord without the clash with the 3rd and 11th. and you get to still have a nice solid 5th in the cello and viola to support the extensions. Try it out lemme know what you think :)

one of the biggest examples of this is in measure 4 beat 2 when the violin 1 goes down to the Gb. the harmony is Db in the cello, Ab in the viola, F in the violin 2, and Gb in the violin 1(Db,Ab,F,Gb). The Gb and the F directly against each other don't work very well, not entirely because its a minor second but because of the function of the notes in that chord don't support each other very well. An example of when it might be nice is in a Major 7th chord, with the root in the top voice and the 7th directly below it(this works because the bass will better support the 7th of the chord due to the overtone series) where as in
the example im pointing out in yours it is the 4th or 11th of what seems to be a Db(add11) chord (this doesn't work well because the 11th is one of the furthest away notes in the overtone series so it gets less support from the bass voice and would need to be in a higher register to heard as stable). My solution to this would be to space the chord out more such as having violin 1 on Ab and giving the viola the Gb instead( this could work for two reasons 1. the more open space between each chord tone help alleviate the dissonances of the extended chord tone 2. the viola was playing Gb in the bar before and it wouldn't be as harsh on the ear because it is prepared by the harmony before). there's two other way to solve this which is how a theory teacher might want you to do and its just to either not have the F (the third of the chord no half step, no clash) and replace it with a 9th or a 7th to rely more on the color from the type of harmony, second way, put the Gb(the 11th) in a higher register. theres pros and cons to all these methods of dealing with extended harmony, and for a game jam this is a very nitpicky thing for me to point out, if you like it stick with it. to me the clash felt very sudden and disconnected from all the other harmony around it, there's similar voicing things every once in a while in "the rest of me cant fly" I hope this doesn't come off as rude I love your melodies and they are 100% beyond better than any melodic material i can currently come up with. I hope that what I said can help you or at least doesn't hurt you. awesome work sorry for the essay it's just really hard to explain this stuff. :)

Very cool ideas and orchestration, just gotta work on your study of harmony. Super cool stuff I really like the sounds you used throughout Good work :)

as others have said mixing needs work, but for the amount of time we got this is pretty good. I like the overall feeling of the piece but I dont really get the freedom vibe or see how it correlates to the theme. really cool track though good work :)

really nice harmonic movements, works very well for the feeling you seem to be going for. Great work :)

as others have said, good use some more to it. something like purposefully ruining expectations, like you play that melody like 3 times and then the 4 time that same melody line is now syncopated. this could create a lot more interest even with the smallest changes, experiment and try to find the different things you could do with a melody to defy expectations. Otherwise Awesome work :)

this is unique approach from what ive seen so far, awesome ! Good work :)

I really like the 2nd tune, your melodies are really strong. One thing I would critique would be your voicing and voice leading in the first tune. you have cool and interesting ideas for harmony but I would try to spend time at a piano just playing the chords you have and try different voicings and different amount of space between different voices(look for the more natural sounding voicings don't try to force unnatural voicings to work), these small details can make all the difference. other than that this was an awesome listen Good work :)

That 3rd track is my favorite, great stuff :)

Very cool music some of it give Celeste vibes. Good work :)

This is pretty cool, really nice vibes. I think all it needs is time for mixing and its a finished piece. Good work :)
