Cool challenge to bring some "upgrade" elements into snake. It looks like your ui and game have conflicting resolutions which unfortunately disqualifies your entry from being rated. Looking forward to your updates to the game!
Your game itself is the correct resolution but your UI elements are not aligning to the pixel grid. Your ui and your game need to be adhering to the same resolution and be in line with the pixel grid.
This one I had some troubles playing. The audio at the start was on a constant loop, and when I got to the level up screen I couldn't figure out how to proceed, none of the buttons seemed to work for me. (Then again, that may have just been me not realizing what to press) It is still snake though, so that counts for something.
oooh! A snake game. It makes sense to have a snake game in a Nokia jam. I like the idea. Upgrades are a fun addition. If I could give a feedback to improve, I would say that the text is not perfectly scaled. I would suggest using a font that would be scaled well even if it was big on the screen. That's how Nokia phones were, and that's ok.
