An absolutely delightful puzzle game - I _love_ that there are two layers (bridges _and numbers) so that you are always able to look at the puzzle from a different angle when you are stuck.
And the music / art / sound effects / tutorials? Fantastic.
Got to level 7. Super clear and fun, love this a lot! I love the planetary scale, the sound effects make it feel large and imposing. Fantastic job!
A fun synthesis between Sudoku and Bridges, with great accompanying visuals. Puzzle games are something I enjoy, so you bet I made it to level H1. No game-breaking bugs (that I have discovered), and a help menu in the game is a nice bonus.
Suggestions/Bugs
- Other commenters have already pointed this out, but finishing the first hard level will loop you back to the beginning.
- I wish there was a "pencil marking" mode for tiles to put possible numbers in tiles for possible combinations.
- A personal opinion, but I think a different icon/way to indicate a locked path would make it easier for players to differentiate.
- Removing a number from a tile while it is invalid (unhappy face) will not remove it until updated.
- Also pointed out by other commenters, although the game changes scale every level, it would be nice if the scale had an impact on gameplay. (i.e. "zooming in" to tiles and solving a puzzle within to remove a lock.)
Besides the last point, these are minor nit-picks, and congrats on making a great game within 96 hours!Really cool puzzle game, I could see this being a full game-but it didnt really have much to do with the theme.
Cool game! Loved the artstyle a lot. The concept is really good. I think the puzzles were a little bit to easy and the difficulty ramp was not steep enough for my liking--but I get it that it's super tough to balance that kind of thing for everyone in a game jam. Great entry!
Very nice idea, the two games mixed really well! Congrats 👍
well taught puzzles ! However the theme is not really present gameplay wise and is just a context. But it's a cool little game
Very fun, I spet a lot of time on solving theses puzzle and the idea is really nice. I had some issue with the planets tileset hurting my eyes for some reason but aside from that just a great game
This is a very clever puzzle game. I love the zoom in and out for some added flavor in the level variety. Keeping the values of 1-4 even on the larger boards creates some really interesting designs which I really enjoyed. Nice work!
once I understood the game it was pretty enjoyable. also nice Tutorial ~
Upgrade to Godot version 4.3 and re-export the game asap after the jam. That will fix the web issues.
I'd also recommend adding sound options. I liked the relaxing music, but the incorrect sound effect got a little on my nerves.
Would be nice to know how many levels there are so we can chart our progress.
Great combo of game mechanics. Any chance you'll release a full version?
5/5
Thanks for the comment! I'm absolutely going to put out an updated version after the jam, using Godot 4.3; I hadn't realised how much of an issue the whole SharedArrayBuffer thing was going to be.
Sound options are absolutely on the list of things that will be going in -- I had meant to add them, but time is finite! Adding more puzzles should in theory be pretty easy, so I think at least an expanded version is certainly on the cards.
Love this! Really cool take on the original sudoku gameplay!
Edit: I completed all main levels and am now gonna try and tackle the hard ones, this is really addicting
Edit 2: I completed the first hard level. When I clicked next level, it took me to basic level 2, which I already completed. I think I beat the game 🎉
Thanks for playing! It's a shame the hard levels don't work at the moment (the files are all there, it must be the "next level" code that's wrong). I sorta hacked it in at the last minute when I realised it might not be much work. I'm planning on putting out an update after the rating period is over with more puzzles in :)
Looking forward to that update!
Cute idea! Really enjoyed it!
For those struggling with it working on web, I switched from chrome to firefox and it worked fine!
