I enjoy this game a lot. Nice soundscape and pretty cool controls! Also fits the topic quite well in my opinion as everything constantly bounces into each other, just being able to grab batteries is an interaction I definitely would have liked to see.

It might be a bit too hard and at the beginning of the game it can be quite frustrating when you can't get a hold of anything at all... :D

Astronomically cool game. Like it.

Developer

Jonas, thanks for the feedback!

There were actually two missing interactions because some objects were getting destroyed before they affected each other. I made some changes to fix that problem and others, so you may want to give it another go.

It’s still very much the same thing, but updated to work as it was originally intended :)

It isn't clear to me how to activate the magnet to move around. Every time I restarted the battery floated away, I guess you have to collect the batteries in the level.

Developer

Mika, thank you so much for sharing your observations. The magnet is actually a poorly drawn claw, and you have to click on asteroids to connect the claw to them. Once you have done this, you can move your mouse to fling your ship around and collide with batteries to collect energy.

The grapple/claw mechanics are a little awkward in the game jam submission, but I'll be releasing an updated version when it is over that should be easier to work with :)

Oh I see, thank you. The grapple mechanic indeed needs some work, so good that you're going to work on that. Maybe the pick up batteries can also give you more energy. When I first played the game, I thought the magnet would use the energy and you needed to balance the usage of the magnet to move with how much energy you had left and where the next battery was.

Very simple yet perfect interpretation of the topic
One thing:
the start of the game is rly luck based
what about adding 1 rock that will always spawn in the same place next to player?

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I’m working on a list of improvements I’ll be making once the review process for the jam is over, and the suggestion you have is definitely at the top of the list :)

Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.

I like how you move around here, and the idea of physics for the theme is as simple as it is accurate. Good job !

Developer

Thanks! It took quite a while to tweak the mechanics so the movement would make you both in control and challenged at the same time.

The game has that addictive quality, that you strive for in game development.  Good job.

That’s great feedback, thanks! It took me a long time to get the grappling physics to feel good, but I think I figured it out. Definitely considering polishing it up more after the jam.

I'm great for feedback. Let me know if you need more feedback later on. Or if I can help in any way.
