Fantastic animations!

Developer

Thank you very much!

Cool environment and puzzles, congrats on this submission!

In the beginning it took me a while to realize I was looking through the "wrong" side of the lens and I dropped it a few times - wish I could grab it by pointing at it or it stuck to me somehow, like a necklace (:

Developer

Thank you for playing Through the Lens.
Those are all things that we want to improve in the future, thank you for the feedback!

What a Cool Game the level was like the crusty ladies house in the dark crystal with the Astrological Planetoids. Very Cool Game with multiple puzzles very Impressive! hope to see it polished as well.

While we were not directly influenced by The Dark Crystal for TTL. I adore that universe and I'm sad they cancelled the Netflix series, it was amazing. Thank you for the sweet comment!

Amazing escape room! it felt like a proper escape room that I'd buy off the official store :) I had only 2 issues, the movement was a bit fast for me, so adding settings menu to tweak movement (maybe an ability to toggle between continuous movement and teleportation would be awesome!)

I recommend that you polish it a bit and publish it for sure! :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing :)

Polishing and then publishing a expanded version is currently our goal! Stay tuned ;)

Congrats on fitting so much in within such a short amount of time

Only comment is popping in a teleport option .. though if this had been the first game in my jam play session the movement wouldnt have affected me so much.

Good job

Developer

Thank you :)
We will probably expand the game further and add in teleporting aswell. Motion sickness is a huge concern for us

Fun game!  I liked the puzzles required to escape.  I got a little stuck after getting the first box open, but quickly got the third box open after I finally got the second one open.  A teleport option would have been helpful to combat motion sickness.

Solved it! lots of fun.

For some reason, the audio didn't work, but it came from my computer instead I was using Oculus Link. I don't know if anyone knows what the issue might be or if anyone else has come across this bug while playing this game or a couple of the other ones.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much for playing and rating the game. It really means a lot to us!!
You aren't the first to mention the audio issue. As long as it isn't on Oculus' side I'll try and fix it!

I managed to solve the puzzles and I loved the laser mechanic you implemented ! But the unique feat of your game is the Lens, which is really well implemented and is fantastic in VR. Just one note, I had trouble standing up despite my tolerance to VR movement, the rig seems a bit "wobbly" like kokutouchichi said.

Good job, I had fun !

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much for playing. I've taken all your feedback to heart and updated. Accessibility should always be a top priority! The movement of your head is now less physically simulated and therefor less wobbly. (the original build of course stays up)

pretty well done game! good job man!

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much! I am eager to try your game out aswell :)

Great looking Game with a nice ambient sound !
The magnifying glass really does work well in VR as kokutouchichi said.

The biggest drawback for me was that grabbing an object made it rotate to a set position so I had to twist my hands a lot.

Overall well done !

Feel free to test my Game.

Developer(+2)

Thank you!!

The rotation bug is fixed now! That was just a small 1 line oversight on my part haha

I will definitly try you game out!

Awesome, I will definitely give it another try to fully complete it now !

Solving wizardly puzzles is cool! I'm obviously no wizard, so I couldn't figure it out lol. I got one chest unlocked and that was about it. The light mirror puzzle was fantastic though, what a great puzzle that works really well in VR! The magnifying glass of course was genius but that light puzzle is really what did it for me.

Not sure what the physics setting for the rig was, but it was very "wobbly" I have pretty solid VR legs but after a while even that one had me take off my headset for a breather. The hand on the base of the mirror for the mirror puzzle was also very hard to get the mirrors to turn. I often had my hand in weird positions just trying to get the mirror to spin. But once it did spin! So satisfying! Your team did great work!

Developer(+1)

Hey, thanks. The rotation bug is fixed in the latest build. Feel free to try it out again. For the wobbly-ness I'd love to test with you what works best. The current settings are fine for me, but I want to make sure they work for everyone! Message me on discord if you are interested in helping out :) sil3nt#5161
