Horror...Oh man, I never thought special delivery as a theme would bring a horror game into the mix! I also had trouble with the lantern and the voice over volume was a bit low and hard to hear at times. I'm a chicken when it comes to horror games so I didn't play too long. I imagine once you get that lantern fixed it'll be an amazing experience.

Took me a while to realize the light needs charging, my original comment was going to be 'it's a little too dark' but I see why now! Nice spooky entry, would love to see more of this

Would not have expected to see a horror game in the "special delivery" topic, very creative idea.

I placed the lantern on different locations, but i think this blue stone is the actual target? Just somehow nothing happened after i placed it there. So not sure, if i solved the level successfully, and if there would be more afterwards.

But so far i really liked the whole spooky ambience and this story telling voice over. Maybe the lanterns light should have highest priority in the scene, sometimes it did not really light up where i was walking.

Thank you for your reply! If the "blue stone" you are talking about is the pedestal in the first room, then it is a charging pedestal you are talking about. The lantern can run out of energy, so in order to recharge it you should put it on that stone. The actual point of the game though is to solve the light puzzle, rotate the crystals in a way so the light travels through all of them. But the line renderer is buggy and for some reason doesn't show sometimes

ah ok, thank you for the clearification, then guess have to try again^^

Developer

the line render has some trouble loading lol. so it can be hard to tell if you get unlucky with it loadin

Like the others said, The lantern was very clumsy. I also wasn't a big fan of the restrictive IRL movement, whenever I tried to crouch or move a little, I was constantly stuck in place. I know that this was done to stop the player from looking into walls, but there has to be a better way to do this.

However, I did enjoy playing it. I was actually able to get past the light puzzle, after a lot of stacked siren sounds and non-showing line renderer. I also did like the ambiance of the game, I got the chills multiple times.

Developer

That was kind of of a side effect of using hurricane vr's default rig. We are currently building a better one :-) we also put an angle limit on the handle of the lantern to address the swing problem

Spooky ambience and vibe. Cool concept and nice voice overs. I couldn't wrangle the lantern very well so I was bumping into wall a lot, and sometimes a hissing noise would loop at the player location and I couldn't figure out if I was burning. Nice and spooky though, very cool take on the theme

Looks really promising! I had a problem with the lantern, however. When I held it it would wobble all over so I couldn't focus it anywhere I wanted it (or it would be very difficult.) I also had an issue with instructions and what the goal was. Perhaps a more clear written tutorial would be helpful :)

Overall it look really nice, was a nice unique mechanic, and seemed like a big and interesting map.

there is a light puzzle in the game that has light coming right past the entrance, but the line render sometimes gets upset and doesn't load. probably what happened. When it loads in the goal should feel straightforward with out a need for extrapolation but when it misses oh boy does it miss. So a bit more of a nudge in that direction isn't a bad Idea. Glad you liked it
