Hi! I've played your game, the concept is good, having time stop and stop all enemies and projectiles velocity, that's a good execution as well. If there's room to improvement, maybe add some juice when player attacking or enemies destroyed that would be make the game much fun. Overall, good work!

Good work! I wanted to be able to speed up/slow down. The game looks fantastic.

Pros:

  • Already fun: Even though this project is not even 48 hours old, its already a very fun game to play with solid mechanics that play around with.
  • Simplistic look: I love that you put the level of visual complexity right where it needs to be, that being; simple. I hate it when games get a really good game mechanic down and then ruin everything by trying to make it look hype realistic, you did it exactly right.
  • Strategy: There already is some strategy to be thought about while using the mechanics. For example, i was nicely surprised that once i pause time, the cannon balls i tried to fire also were frozen, which makes sense but its also just a very nice touch.
  • UI: Very clean UI, its not too much and they show you exactly what you need to see.
  • Super solid time mechanics: Puts the theme in the game without having to explain it, and is very fun to play around with.

Cons:

  • Stearing: steering the ship feels a little slow and heavy, i understand this choise on the one hand as ships are usually like that, but it also just doesnt feel very satisfying.
  • Movement Control: The only movement that is given is left and right steering, that does get a bit boring.
  • Invisable border: Once you get far enough, you hit an invisible border and get fully stuck.

Oh man, i really did enjoy playing your game and am very impressed by it being done in this little time. Would love to see any updates to this. Good luck in the rest of the jam!
