Fun but difficult!

I finished only the first level :'(

Anyway good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks. I posted a video walking through the first 2 levels. Maybe that will help:

I was watching the stream when ScalphaMission played your game, and I think everything he said hits the nail on the head. This is a great concept. I'm not sure if it was mentioned, but I noticed how simple the artwork is in your game, which seems to be mostly the basic shapes (square, circle, etc). I thought they were used effectively to where it doesn't even feel like a prototype. Music gave that cafe-like feel. I just wish there were more levels. Really great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yeah basic shapes were due to the time constraint but I think they also came together and fit the aesthetic of the game pretty well.

Very cool concept and unique gameplay! It is difficult but not in a bad way, personally I thought it was great!

Thank you!

This is indistinguishable from dark souls

Lol thanks. I tried not to make it too difficult. Through playtesting it seems some are having more trouble than others. This is definitely a trial and error type game. If you are having trouble you can check out the demo playthrough here:

I agree with the other comments about the difficulty of the game
I would add that less increment for the rotation could simplify the memorization of what position worked.
Overall a really good game

Developer

Thanks. Some have suggested adding a way to save your progress. Maybe a good way to share your solutions with others or start again where one has left off.

The game has a good concept but it's a bit too unforgiving. Me personally would remove the death mechanic altogether as it doesn't really fit the game

Developer

Yeah I have been hearing that from others. I was thinking adding a sandbox mode for levels people have already beaten

It is a really nice concept and game but it has a really steep learning curve and it is quite annoying  that the level continiously resets so you have to start all the way over and just have to guess if that run will be correct. But overall the idea is executed well.

Developer

Thank you! Yeah it takes practice getting used to the physics. Sorry about the curve. With only 4 levels the difficulty ramps from easy to hard pretty fast.
