Nice score! I think the current world record is about 5,300!

Thanks a lot (and for the rating!) With a bit more time I'd definitely like to add more flair (if you can call soiling yourself 'flair'!)

Thank you very much, fellow James!

+1 thanks! Great series, succinct and clear, and got me up and running a game in an afternoon - just what Pico-8 promised! Thank you so much for creating and sharing it :) (I thought I'd already posted this, but apparently not!)

I really enjoyed taking part in this jam, and finding other developers to follow. I played so many cool games I never would have found otherwise!

Well done to everyone who took part, and thanks a lot to Second Dimension Games for putting this all together!

Super cool work! The movement feels so good, and I like the Chaos Emeralds being scattered around (reminds me of Sonic 1 on Master System). Great job!

Thank you very much!

I'm so glad you liked it! And yes, the game (and character!) name is definitely unique, but what else could I call him? He's got a bit of all three animals in his design!

Interesting concept! I really liked the visual style as well, very cool. I enjoyed it, thanks for sharing!

Interesting concept - please keep developing it!

Thanks Bastian. I saw your gameplay in the video yesterday - sorry you had such trouble finding the help button. After your video, I decided to update the game: the help screen now shows up automatically if you wait.

Visually stunning with a unique concept; not something you see every day. Great job!

I love the look! Great animation too - the double-jump was so satisfying. It was also really nice to play a game like this that wasn't an auto-scroller: trying to beat some of the tricky jumps was really fun.

Good job!

I'd be grateful if you'd look at my little arcade game Foxcatsquirrel! Thank you!

Hi everyone!

I made my first ever game in Pico-8, and I'm always amazed by what others can do with it. I thought it'd be nice to have a place to chat about games and share tips!

Artorio

I was really impressed by this! So clever, great visuals, good fun game for any amount of time. Recommended!

I've definitely thought about it! I might do a Tic-80 version, I think it'd work well with the wider screen.

Cute game! I love beagles so I had to check this one out :D I enjoyed finding all the old consoles, and although I also had some minor issues (it would sometimes register that I'd found a console when I'd only dug up one square to the south) I was able to find them all!

Definitely! It was one of the last things I finalised in my game – I was tweaking settings until the last minute!

It was really clever! You've definitely inspired me to use it in one of my future projects :)

Very nice idea and great atmosphere. The AI was good, it was quick to play, and the music's still stuck in my head!

Great presentation, I enjoyed the writing, and smart use of the start button to give an extra button.

Very cute! I loved the music, and the overall vibe was nice - so many platformers are hardcore and precision-based, it was nice to play one that's forgiving and soothing. It would be interesting to have some extra inertia on the cat's movement, and I also had a few camera issues in the browser version (in level 4, I got all the way to the top but couldn't see below, and fell to my death...)

I look forward to seeing more!

I really enjoyed it! I liked the simple controls and nice mix of jumping and shooting, and you combined them cleverly. After a few levels I would have liked to have seen a new weapon or item introduced, like a grenade or something, to add an extra layer. Fun overall!

Thank you!

Thank you so much!
