A good quality and short 'souls-like'.  I would like to personally point out the version of 'Innocent Treasures' was really neat, can I ask who made it?

I saw you had two composers and I couldn't be sure who did it

Developer(+1)

Thank you. As for the song, that would be Pathtolegend who did Innocent Treasures.

i cznnot poccibly imzgine how you plzy thic gzme without zutohotkey

but other than that: fantastic entry. we got rumia ex even

the combo is committal enough to where you gotta make dsure you wont die before goin through and there are good setups for using it in most places. talksprites are awesome and the patterns are fair

great entry

Ah, the classic me, myself, and my sword against 1000 bullets (and gravity). Not gonna lie, I read the description and thought it was gonna be a top down hack-n-slash (like Scarlet Curiosity) buuuut turns out I was off by 1 whole dimension (for my hitbox to wander about). Very neat concept with the being-able-to-leverage-frozen-bullets-as-platforms though. It's unfortunate I was never able to clear that part due to poor timing on my end (and maybe RNG. It's always RNG.) Would've been much easier if these were one-way platforms that can only be collided with from the top though.

Thank you for playing!

This has a lot of cool factor and I can imagine all the mechanics options and how they interact with the bullets being something that you can really master and feel satisfied about with practice. The chosen key layout was pretty difficult for my brain to adapt to.

The harsh slap/tap sound on the menus and when getting hit was much louder than everything else, which made it difficult to appreciate the audio.

Quite fun! And it was funny! I liked that a lot.

It reminds me of Touhou 17.5, in that it's an attempt at bringing Touhou-esque boss fights into a 2D action game. But instead of your attacks/dash being able to destroy bullets, you can freeze them and then platform on them or break them. It's a fun twist.

The final phase got a laugh out of me when I realized what I was supposed to do lol
Unfortunately, I didn't really "figure  it out," and more-so just did Perfect Freeze because nothing was happening, and then I realized "oh, she literally just hit her face and fell." I was expecting a "cooldown" period during the attack since the previous phase worked like that.

To echo some previous comments, the controls felt odd to get used to. If I had to pick a reason as to why, I'd say it's because the jump and attack buttons are separated by another action button. This is pretty atypical. We're pretty conditioned to assume that, in a 2D game like this, "jump" and "primary other action besides jump" are mapped to buttons that are next to each other. Like Mario (jump and run/use Powerup) or Castlevania (jump and attack).

There's some fine-tuning that can be done which was most likely thought about, but game jam time limit and what not. Such as attacking having a hit sound effect. Which would've helped attacking feel more "satisfying" (I can't think of a better word). The animation for it was good though, which is a large part of making an action feel satisfying to do.

Also, the portraits were very good and funny and I love them and Advent Cirno.
I also like the inexplicable lore that Cirno knows what Detroit is.

Good job!

I really enjoyed it! The controls and mechanics took a little while to understand, but I enjoyed the process! Every attempt I better understood how I could control my character and how to use my attacks against my enemy. The dialogue is great and enhanced very much so by the art. On top of it all, I'm a total sucker for both Advent Cirno and EX Rumia. Overall, I'm going to play it again later cause I really want to play it again.

Very fun 2D action game! The controls were a bit hard to get used to and I wish there was an option to rebind keys, but when you get used to them they're quite comfortable and smooth.

The Rumia fight dragged on for quite a bit, but Marisa's fight was very enjoyable. I really liked the "final phase" theme and the phase itself - using Perfect Freeze to freeze the wall and get her to hit it and become vulnerable was very creative and something I didn't expect. Good job on the game!
