Like everyone else said I love the cute legs and the cute fish  and that I will love to see it continued. Also the time limit was implemented in a really interesting way.

Good start! I included it in my Time Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Fun game, would be interesting to see more. You said in the discord this was your first game jam. Pretty good.

Awesome idea;
Has a great potential for exploration, secrets, powerups and that kind of metroidvania mechanics.

It needs a little more polish and fine tunning on the values, besides that, nice work!

Developer

Not really sure about making it a metroidvania, but I have quite some plans for the exploration part of the game.

Thank you for the feedback!

I love the little legs that stick out, it's so cute x) i had trouble moving smoothly but overall the idea is very smart and interesting ! Well done !

Every comment about the funny legs warms my funny heart <3

As I thought, the game is a joy to speedrun but there are some issues. Nonetheless, the important thing is that you were able to submit something and it’s the thought that counts!

Developer(+1)

Glad you were satisfied even though I barely got to release it. Thank you for your encouragement during the jam, if it wasn't for that, then I could've given up early.

Aww… I love helping people so I’m happy to have helped you submit a Minimal Viable Product!

What a shame you ran out of time!

The idea is superb. I hope you will continue this game.

Improves the graphics a bit, the fish is not very visible (I love its funny legs). Add some sounds, some reflections in the water and sand on land and it will already be much more personalized!

I hope to play a polished version soon! Good luck !

Thank you for the feedback! Visual aspect is probably what I wanna try tackling with in higher priority, because I want to get some experience on that :p

Good luck then ! This is my favorite part :D!

Hey, nice prototype :)

I like the idea and  the fish on the legs is so funny. It's unfortunate, that you didn't have more time.

I think that this game could become a fun little game.

Some suggestions, if you want to finish the game:

  • Color of the fish  is quite similar to some parts of the water. I would make the fish more visible.
  • I would place the controls at one place.
  • You should somehow  higlilght, that player is running out of time. Add flashing or change of color or something like that for last few seconds.
  • Add sounds - both for your fish and for you timer. It might not look like that important, but it makes a big difference at the end.

I hope, you'll finish the game :)

Developer

I do have some plans for this game :p

Thank you for the feedback! First two are things I should definitely look up to. The others are the result of me running out of time. Hopefully next time I'll plan things more carefully to be able to reach the intended scope.

Interesting idea!

The gameplay is good fun, but the level design needs a bit of polish.

I saw in your page that this is your first game jam entry, and is a good first try, even if itis not complete. Keep participating in game jams! :D

Thank you! You won't believe how much I didn't know I needed someone to point out that this was essentially my first "successful" try at a game. Just having something I could upload is already a great achievement for me. Hopefully this will encourage me to make more stuff in future jams.
