Which Theme did you choose?

Lady of the Lake

How did you implement your chosen Theme into your game?
Our team went forward with Theme 3: Lady of the Lake. Our story, monster design, and setting are key elements within our chosen theme. The "Lady of the Lake" can represent both the spirit haunting Lake Ileban's lighthouse and the game's protagonist Estella.

Did you implement any of the Bonus Challenges and if so, which ones?
Lakeside cabin was implemented as one of our objective locations.
Lady appearing and disappearing was another.

Loressa,

Our team deeply appreciates your hefty review and feedback! Thank you for taking the time to play and leave us with your gameplay notes. While we were not able to implement all of the features we were aiming towards, we were very happy to come through with as much polish as possible. It is thanks to our incredibly hardworking team!

You guys only won because you spammed ratings. You ruined the entire competition with this behavior. I will make sure to speak out against "your team" in the future.

Developer

Hi Loressa,

Taking the time to play other games and give personal feedback isn't equivalent as "spam" in our eyes. It is a grand opportunity to check out the work of other devs and I myself was very glad I had some time to check out the projects I was interested in playing!

Additionally, itch.io incentivizes feedback through their Most Karma category when sorting through projects!

Finally, our team worked very hard to bring this game together, especially in our final moments prior to final submission. Our greatest success was being able to share this game with others. Take care!

Im impressed even by the amount of options you have in the settings not to mention the rest. Good luck!

All I can really say is: I want more! This game left me wanting to return to the island and Estella to really explore and find out what was going on. i hope one day this becomes a fuller game!

Developer

Holly, we are so happy to hear our game has you wanting more. Thank you for playing!

The game was very atmospheric, a fantastic product for such a short development period. I really liked the creepiness of the ending. Very well done!

Moth, thank you kindly for checking out our game!

I really liked the presentation! Audio in general (voice over in particular), the detail on all interactable items, the environments -  it looks and feels very polished.
I seem to have encountered the same bug at the gears as other players - I couldn't interact with the second ladder, but I was able to exit the lighthouse, get on the boat and complete the game successfully. I also encountered a bug where, after being caught by the ghost with Estelle being exhausted / scared, her noises continued upon restarting and only stopped when I jumped. Apart from those small bugs, great work - congratulations to the team!

The interactive elements like the fuel cans, notes, and crates really made this game feel immersive. Voice acting was really nice too and made the situation feel more tense. Really solid game

Really enjoyed this game and wish there was a long full version. It reminded me of Silent Hill or RE vibes. The storytelling was really good and the atmosphere had me on edge. I got stuck at the gears and couldn't light the lighthouse, but I think I completed the game?

Hey honeymoun, thank you so much for your kind words and feedback!

We've received the same reports from other players regarding the gears; a bug fix may be implemented in the nearby future. Thanks again!

I liked what I played but got a little stuck when I got to repairing the cogs up the ladder (And the game wouldn't let me climb up the second ladder). Is there a hint or somethign to help with the cog machine?

Really good work though but I didn't realise I could even use the for a while haha!

Hey there, thanks for playing our game! We appreciate your feedback and will definitely relay these issues back to our team.

We are noticing that many players are also not finding out about the lantern until much later; we didn't have time for a proper tutorial! We added a hint to our game page in hopes it will help!
