How did you choose to implement the Theme: Thirst for Blood in your game?
We have a Vampire in the game who thirsts for blood and little Mare helps him accomplish that.
Did you implement any of the optional Bonus Challenges, and if so, which ones?
1-Vampire: We have a Vampire Master
2-Life Drain: A sacrificing mechanic and thematic of entering Nightmares to absorb life
3-Out for Blood: Health is a game mechanic/collectible

Graphics were sufficient for a free jam project, sound design was really good (I guess this is where all megabytes came from - but next time compress them in .ogg or something), general style and direction where fine, but when it came to the gameplay... it was frustrating.
If this game had more missions - I would say it's a solid project, but it's too raw. I see the potential if some polish will be applied but as now it's a bit raw and a lot of short.
I enjoyed the animations and visual aesthetic of the game. Gameplay was lacking and somewhat frustrating. Adding checkpoints or making the levels much quicker with speedy restarts like Super Meat Boy would make it far more enjoyable. Movement was too jerky and really needed an acceleration curve to be effective. Attacking was not satisfying at all. Making a blood sacrifice was a good choice, however. I could imagine having some fun with level design when you can't attack because you're dragging a body. However, we didn't get far enough to see that.
Per my son, "Make this game scarier for the love of gawd. The creativity, the theme, the gameplay, the presentation all... A+! I didn't really get the story. This guy was all 'hey yo gimme the blood' and now give us more story and i would actually like the story."
Solid art direction with a personal touch. I love the pixel art in sync with the story. Great work.
Really solid entry from the flow of the scenes and starting dialogue, to the main game loop and assets really cool.
I really, really adore this game! I love the player character! I want to be their friend. I love all the art. This game has so much charm. I especially love the trippy cutscene before the level starts. I am really bad at platformers, and normally I would have given up when I got 5/6 blood. With Blut Nightmare however, I just had to finish the game to see what would happen. I am brand new to Godot, so I loved seeing and playing this game. Wonderful work. Also, Moon Lily Games has a gorgeous logo. I would love to see more from these characters and their nefarious adventures!
Thank you so much for the positive feedback, we appreciate it a lot!
This is such a beautifully made game, I really adore the art style and the gameplay was pretty solid! It seemed like the creature on the far right of the screen was far more difficult to get than the other two, but other than the sudden skill leap the game had a nice flow to it. I also enjoyed the way you all looped the game back in on itself to encourage a perfect score, and the dialogue was very well done. All in all, a solid platformer with a gorgeous vibe and nice soundtrack!
Thank you for the comment, i'm glad you liked the experience, in hindsight we realized that the creature on the right might have been a bit difficult but that's part of the learning process :D
