Ranked from 11 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How did you choose to implement the Theme: Thirst for Blood in your game?
To get a higher score, you have to kill enemies, mainly bats and vampires, to get their blood. The blood counts as the score, which will be tallied at the end on death

Did you implement any of the optional Bonus Challenges, and if so, which ones?
We included a vampire enemy for the Vampire theme and the main score mechanic uses blood for the Out for Blood theme.

The title of the game and premise of a Bloodsport makes for a great pun. But you did manage to make a game out of it though! I felt that the gameplay wasn't very balanced. I didn't get that urge to keep playing again and again which is what I want for an action/arcade style of game. It was pretty hilarious to see the character's body contort in weird ways while you strafe and run. I can sympathize though. Making a true top-down game with appropriate art is hard to achieve. As for the performance issues: I'm not sure how it works in your engine but typically games preload audio for short sound effects so the game won't pause the first time you try to play it.

Well done with the difficulty settings. It make it very playable. I tried to to beat the boss a few times. I enjoyed chaining around.

Per my son, "Horror and story: bad. But the way I would improve it, maybe you could tell us in the beginning of the game where we are and what we need to do. Why are we in the pit and why are there monsters. Theme, gameplay, creativity: overall pretty good! Presentation: we don't need to talk about that, okay?"

I really enjoyed the ambience, it is really solid for a jam and has lots of potential. The 'bring in another' option made me chuckle.

A short and simple arcade game with decent mechanics and a fun vibe. I think it could have used some music,  but the ominous sound effects work just fine. There were some performance issues at first, but after the game had been running for a few minutes it seemed to ease up (I believe this is just how browser games just work.) Ultimately, it's a solid game with a fun and challenging premise!

Hotline Miami meets Castlevania in this one. I really like the presentation and the basic but challenging gameplay this one has. Though it could just have been a problem on my end, but I think there's some performance issues in game? I'm not entirely sure.

Good Work.

Very hard and very frustrating(in a good way). Could have used some music and some sfx feedback for hits
