So here is my review while not under the pressure of finishing a video. I really get the feeling of a tortured artist here. Though it seems you didn't have time to complete this one, there is quite a bit of nuance to catch. For example, you had a working light system. The candles were animated and given an appropriate particle effect. You've drawn a lot of unique assets and created a character that matches the theme in a unique way. With some polish, this could be considered quite the art piece. You remind me of my style, but you're actually good and not a faker like me. I hope you're not discouraged from game design. You've made some memorable moments in past games for sure.

Not per my son, "Hey, thanks for including the zebra! You really have a great art style and I see quite a bit of technical knowhow with the lighting system. It's too bad you didn't get to finish. Thanks for submitting though!"

No worries thanks for trying it out. A little worried you wouldn't be a fan of the cameo but I had seen the drac wars loading screen a 1000 times looking for a good day one bobble price so it was floaty around my brain.

It was great with the glowy eyes and stuff. You're a pretty good artist. Thanks for defeating my game so thoroughly lol!

Honestly not sure what to say about this piece. It's clear there was some strong feelings behind this game, and I don't really feel like bringing it down since it seemed to be the major intent behind it. All I can really say is take the time to move forward and get back up when you're ready.

No worries cheers for trying it out.

While I'm not a fan of self-loathing creations (most of us like that to be honest), this little project excels in horror aspect - there is little in this world that is close to fear and pain of being rejected and humiliated as an artist.
Didn't figured out how the gameplay mechanics works actually, just strolled along the scene till the "end". Everyone have these bad days somedays.

Thanks for giving it a try, appreciated.

It's a bit hard to properly rate/review this game, as it appears to be a vent piece of the creator denoting the struggles of being an indie dev. While the theme is in the game of a thirst for blood, both shown as a mosquito and how cruel critics can be, the theme feels slightly off-track though definitely still there. Some of the symbolism is a bit lost on me, such as with the vampiric character who appeared, but I still recognize enough of it to understand it's presence.

Some of the more blatant symbolism such as eventually escaping to daylight (a term referring to the creator's original trilogy series they appear to be very passionate about), creates an ominous yet hopeful feeling, especially with the plant imagery which appears to be inspired by the creator's current project "Aplomb The Lazy Ninja." The creator's self-depreciation shortly before this sets a sharp undercut to that hope, creating a very tense optimism balancing on an edge that I personally resonate with.

This game is definitely a memorable one I will likely think back on months from now. It's very distinctly a psychological horror game but in a very unusual and surreal way. The visceral depictions of the creator in their frustrations, and their desperation to be heard through their drawings and dialogues, everything really hits you hard emotionally and the ominous soundtrack sets the tone very well.

There is something deeply haunting about this game, despite the mechanical quirks and simplistic art. I hope the creator found respite in the creation of this game, as that tense hope is something I relate to personally. I don't believe this game is for everyone for a lot of reasons, but for people who have felt dejected in their artistic pursuits, I believe this may be a cathartic and raw expression that may bring comfort in knowing they're not alone.
