I personally have a soft spot for "first one to cum loses" (my game is also based around that idea haha) so I quite enjoyed this concept. Would love to see more encounters with additional mechanics mixed into the janken system. It'd also be neat if the mechs themselves were anthropomorphized a bit more (e.g. thinking of something like the mechs from Darling in the Franxx)

Developer

Thanks! Yes, more variety and better mech models are definitely on the list if I get around to making a full version. :)

This is a nice game! One thing I believe would help is having a color key on the screen that shows what colors beat what. I kept forgetting throughout the game. I'm looking forward to two player action as well!

Developer

Good suggestion and yes, two-player definitely on the cards for the next version! Thanks for playing!

I quite like the shell game style mechanic. Also, the biggest challenge for me was getting distracted while hitting the next round button and forgetting the current color. I'm definitely interested in getting to see the other characters.

Developer

Thanks! Hoping to have a post-jam build up before too long. The other characters are all done but I forgot how short February was so didn't get their levels done in time!

I really love the interface design. My opinion on games that have stuff going on in multiple sections of the screen simultaneously is a little personally biased though🙃

The sounds I found somewhat distracting due to the absence of in-game music. Something overly dramatic would be amazing. Try the game with "Angel Attack" playing in the background to see what I mean.

Thanks! I definitely want music in there and I'll add that to the post-jam version for sure! :)

Nicely-done concept, with the rock-paper-scissors combat (for lack of a better word, anyway).  Art style was simple but charming.  Liked the sense of humor throughout.  Also like to see robo/mech stuff popping up, so that's a big bonus from me.  xD

Developer

Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed... Art feedback is especially valued as that's kind of my weak point... :)

I love this concept! Really wish you had time to finish, I'm very curious about the other characters.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I'm still hoping to finish it - most of the work is done for the other characters but I just didn't have time to put their levels in... I forgot Feb only had 28 days - duh!

Oh! The dialogue and setting/story are hilarious, and the visuals were killing me - I was laughing a lot. ^^ The gameplay is such a smart solution,  the rock paper scissors combined with a shell game (and 'distracting' imagery) . That's clever and fun.  Ways to make it more difficult would be to move the enemy wheel faster and/ or add a time limit etc. Some clichee "porn music" could be added. And mecha banging metal sounds.  But yeah, in any case, it's a very fun idea for a (kinky) mini game, keep up the good work. I appreciate that it can be played directly in browser.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! If I expand it, I definitely want bigger/faster/more complex wheels. And yes, porn music!

Heyho, Sallo O!
Hahaha I love the premise and how nonchalantly she explains it :D OF COURSE you keep the peace by having sex with giant robots!
The game mechanics are interesting, too. A good spin on rock-paper-scissors, which makes most turns based on skill rather than luck. I like it.
One thing you could add would be a permanent indication on what beats what, I kinda mixed up my colors in the middle of the, um, "fight". Especially when the wheels (presumeably) get bigger/have more colors in later levels this would be useful.

Nice game! Stay funky,
Dez

Developer

Thanks! Yes, you're quite right about the need for a permament indicator. If I expand this into a full game, that's going in for sure. :

Play: This is rock-paper-scissors. It's just rock-paper-scissors. However, the 'follow the opponent's wheel' mechanic is very interesting, I like it quite a lot. If it sped up and became harder to follow the closer you were to winning, there'd be a lot more challenge, and you could probably create further levels by making different wheels with more options that move in different ways- e.g. following the points of a pentagram. On a three-option wheel, each move affects each other- it's either strong against, weak against, or the same as the opponent's choice- but adding more could possibly present you with combinations that lose points, making a tie a better option than a non-adjacent pick, and making it easier to guess even on higher speeds, as well as making rounds last longer... as a standalone thing, it's a pretty simple game, but there's something really cool here, and if you don't go for it, I will- *shot*

Aesthetic: The art style is... interesting. I don't know quite how to describe it- the UI and especially the background are quite stylish, and give me 'classic flash game' vibes, but the character designs look a little stiff, and the text is so jarringly default that I have to make a powerpoint joke here or I won't be able to live with myself.

Sound: Oh, I hate the sound that plays when you advance text. It sounds so infuriatingly similar to my alarm clock, which is so piercing and effective that I only take it out in case of genuine 'wake up or consequences' emergencies. I had to turn the sound off, I couldn't stand it.

Narrative: The narrative isn't rich, but it's campy and shameless in a way that makes it fun. "We solve all our conflicts through hot mech sex now!" is such a good line, it's so silly. I love it.

Horny: It's a game where you have sex.

Kink: I've seen giants, and I've seen robots, but less often have I seen giant robots.

Stealth: Would be stealthier if not for certain sound and visual effects.

Harmony and Novelty: Scores low in harmony because why rock-paper-scissors, but high in novelty because rock-paper-scissors is cool actually.

Final Thoughts: Both pilots seem to be female, so you missed the opportunity for a rock-paper-scissors joke here. I'd like to see the mechanic explored in maybe a not-so-horny game, if only so more people could see it and go 'oh that is cool' like I did, but like you do you lol.

Developer

Thanks for the super detailed feedback! Lots of good points here, I'm considering making it into a full game so this will be really helpful. :)
