Graphics are very engaging, controls need more work it seems player slide a little bit after jump. Anyway, platformers are always a good choice! good job!!
Hey, all!
We really appreciate the support. This was our first time actually finishing a game for a jam, and we had a blast. A lot of you loved the art, so I've put the background art for sale on my profile for only $1.00. Go check it out if you're interested.
Once again, thanks a lot!
What a frustration to have only 2 levels! A little bug at the start of the second, there is an invisible obstacle, and the character is going a little too fast for my taste. Otherwise I love everything else, the design is sumptuous, as well as the music! The frogs made me think of an enemy of "Bug" the game on sega saturn !
The game was supposed to have 6 levels but time was a big factor 😅
The game is about 70-80% done, so there are bugs and only 2 levels but we'll finish it very soon.
As for the pixel art: it was my first time and I'm very proud of the result. The music was also something that came out great. Thanks a lot
I can not believe this is your first achievement in design given the result!
I love the music, art and end screen haha.
Thanks a lot!
The art in this game is very well done! Good job :)
Thanks, it was my first time making pixel art. I got addicted to it in the course of the jam, so I guess it was a success :)
That's great sounds like a success to me! Also if you get a chance and haven't already I would appreciate it if you could check out my game as well :)
This game is cool overall, I see what you wanted to created, but it leaks on the movement a lot, it's very clunky, and it could use the checkpoint mechanic, but it's a lot of work for a 48 hours anyway, good job, keep it up.
The game looks very good, did you made the assets during the jam?
The controls were very slippery and slidy but idk if this was supposed to be that way because the environment is very cold and snowy. If you jump against a wall and keep pressing right you get stuck there and "fly" in the air.
Maybe add more lifes because it's very frustrating to die one-hit.
But overall a good game :)
Hey, thanks for the feedback!
Yes, I made all the assets during the jam. My friend worked on the code, while I made the art. Needless to say, it was a tiring weekend 😂
As for the game itself, time was a big constraint for us since we're beginners and this was our first 2D game, so we had very few levels, no time to add the story and a few bugs here and there (the wall flying is actually a halfway implemented wall jump XD)
Thanks a lot!
Okay thank you for the reply. I thought the art was looking so good, maybe it was pre-made. Very well done
Graphics are cool, but the controls are a little frustrating.
The character doesn't stop moving sideways when I expect it to.
Visually it's really good. Mechanic wise there is a bit left to be desired :D. You should probably separate walls from floors as you can climb/hang on to them. Although it looks kind of funny, don't think it works too well -> https://imgur.com/a/pHLQpsw
WP on the end screen.
Yes, in hindsight, should have done 2 layers. It was our first time making a platformer, so didnt get the time to finetune the controls ;-;
The graphics and animations are beautiful. Controls feels kinda slippery because you keep walking after releasing the key but i got better and didn't need to stop and so I earned the low effort end screen :)
Thanks a lot, it was my first time making pixel art and our first time making a 2D game so we had some setbacks but we're proud of what we made :)
The game needs some tweaking here and there, and we also need to put in the story, but I guess we can keep the end screen since everyone liked it :)
