I loved it! Just an excellent job all around, I made it to the good ending and they went on quite an ordeal! I feel like there was really good synergy between the story, art, and music that really pushed this over the top. Awesome job! I kept thinking though, man it's a good thing a couple with a weaker relationship didn't enter this experience. Because if these characters had been going through a rough patch instead or just not able to work through their past incidents they would, uh... not be in the sequel XD

A fun story with a really unique framing device! I also am a huge fan of your art - the characters' sprites are great, and the expressions show a lot of emotion. It really gets you caring about the couple right away, and makes them feel even more fleshed out than the (already great!) writing alone would have done. All of that works together quite nicely! Congrats!!!
It was a very nice little story! The idea of the bet between the two gods was a very nice framing device for the events, the dialogue was entertaining and the descriptions great.
Although I feel like the game doesn't make as much use of the medium as it could. The basic Ren'py gui is fine, it doesn't take away from the overall enjoyment, but the way descriptives and dialogues appear and are paced does, feeling more like a standard Novel than a Visual one.
The art-style is great, at times even evocative, but there's some imprecisions when displaying different sprites of the same character (some PNGs are taller than the other, or smaller with a different level of zoom...). And other people already have commented on the issues with the loudness of the music, I will add that when they start looping back they're very noticeable.
Overall, a very solid entry!
What a sweet story. The bond between the main couple was very cute, and the cuts to the bickering gods were amusing. The carnival track would get a bit too loud at points (played at the beginning and towards the end?) but otherwise the music was good at setting the mood. Very campy and fun, good job. :)
Thank you for playing our game! I just went through it again today and you are completely correct, I also noticed the music got ridiculouosly loud in that one area so it does need to be tweaked which I will be doing this week along with some other bugs/tweaks I noticed. I appreciate you also confirming that with me as it confirms also it's not just my computer lol Glad you liked the story and gods!
This game was both fun and sweet! It's so heartwarming to see Jake and Mia's relationship staying strong throughout the entire labyrinth (if you didn't die on literally the first choice like I did LMAO). The backstory scene with Jake honestly made me somewhat emotional ngl. Not only that, the art is wonderful! I had a blast with this charming little game for sure! Thank you for making it and for sharing it with us!!
What a lovely story! Very well written and the art was beautiful throughout. Jake and Mia were really nice, relatable characters and the trials were so creative that even I started getting annoyed at the gods on their behalf lol Awesome Job labyrinth buddy!

Wow okay, so first of all, I loved the music and the sound effects and the art style was so unique. This story was deep, and insanely cool. The themes of the yin and yang of life were incredibly well blended together. First you slightly see it with Jake and Mia (they are opposites) and then it gets pieced together with Aphrodite versus Ares (the god of love and the god of war) light versus dark, love versus hate, confidence versus uncertainty - strong themes.
You really had me tearing up for a moment when Jake was in his childhood home. Ahhh, being Mia and knowing that I had to break him away from that memory because of the effects it would have on him. It was a tough one, but a beautifully crafted story. Thank you for putting this together, I enjoyed it.
There's no voice acting so I can't rate that but I'll rate the sound effects which is a 5!
